America’s Jubilee: For Better Or Worse?

The Right Timing

As we continue monitoring the clock of Adonai, we find ourselves approaching a prophetic crescendo in time that very few people are paying attention to or are even aware of. The 400th anniversary of the the signing of the Mayflower Compact, and many would say America’s covenant with YHWH as a nation, has not yet officially arrived despite it already having been celebrated earlier in the year. It is very important that we do not look at the timing according to the Gregorian calendar, but instead according to the Biblical calendar to know why exactly this specific marker in time is so monumental according to the Word of God, and why getting the timing right is more crucial than ever.

Contract with Adonai

The Mayflower Compact, and those who signed it, promised to inhabit the land for the glory of God and the spreading of the Gospel of Peace and was signed during a Shmita Year in the Biblical Year of 5381 on Cheshvan 15 (November 11, 1620). Just like Scripture tells us to keep the Sabbath, or Shabbat holy on the 7th day (Exodus 20:8-11), Adonai also commanded Israel to keep the Shabbat year, known as the Shmita year, when there would be no planting or harvesting to let the land rest (Leviticus 25:1-5), as well as the forgiveness of each person’s outstanding debts (Deuteronomy 15:1-11). Why is this important for you to know? The next Shmita year is about to begin on September 6, 2021 or Elul 29, 5781 on the Biblical Calendar. This means the true 400 year anniversary of the signing of the Mayflower Compact, America’s contract with Adonai, will be on October 21, 2021. To know if this is a good thing or a bad thing for America we need to know both the blessing and the curse of the Shmita.

The Blessing of the Shmita and Jubilee

There is one more significant marker in the Scriptural time cycle that happens only once every 50 years after a cycle of 7 Shmita years called a Jubilee year (Leviticus 25:8-24) when besides the Shmita year rules applying, slaves were freed and returned to their families and land was returned to its former owner. Hence, as America enters its 8th Jubilee it is a sign of a coming economic and social reset, a levelling of the social and economic playing field. The very same verse written on the Liberty Bell in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania is the same verse declared on the Jubilee that says, “And ye shall hallow the fiftieth year, and proclaim liberty throughout all the land unto all the inhabitants thereof” (Leviticus 25:10).

The Curse of Not keeping the Shmita

However, it is important to also note, that when Israel did not keep the Shmita years holy, Adonai did it for them, and not in a nice way. Leviticus 26:14-46 details the punishment for not giving the land its rest, and is one of the chief causes of the 70 year exile to Babylon, so that the land could rest as He promised it would, making it 10 Shmitas of rest. Speaking of 10 Shmitas this coming Shmita will also be the 10th Shmita (70 years) since the first Shmita year in 1951 since Israel’s founding in 1948. Coincidence?

America’s Coming Shmita: Judgement or Blessing?

If you are thinking it is simply a symbolic year without any real world effect or consequence, the data and history say otherwise. During the last 8 Shmita years, in the United Sates there has been a notable economic recession/downturn during each Shmita year with great effect to the global economy. What’s more, is that it seems what has triggered these consecutive recessions began with prayer being taken from schools, and continuing with the legalising of abortion and same sex marriage. Is America being warned by Adonai? Significance of 400

400 years is significant for many reasons in the Bible, but is most notably attributed to Israel’s 400 years of slavery in Egypt, but when they left, also remember that they left with the riches of Egypt after the total judgement of the nation and the gods of Egypt, leaving the land desolate. As the United States enters its 400th year, the question remains, will the people turn back to Adonai, or not? Will a David arise to lead the nation in righteousness and justice, or will Adonai sovereignly cause the land of the free to rest? Could this 400 year Jubilee of the U.S. have anything to do with prophecies in Scripture regarding the return of Jews to Israel? About 40 percent of the world’s Jews still live in America, but could this signal a coming shift, an exodus of the Jewish people from America back to Israel? One thing is for certain, the fallen kingdom of darkness is doing everything it can to speed up the downfall and demise of America, but there is a remnant who refuses to bow to the gods of men who are fasting, praying, and repenting on behalf of the nation. It is certainly an Elijah moment in America where the nation is being forced by Adonai to decide who they will serve, Baal, or the God of Israel.
