Tishri: Global Upheaval Begins
This Biblical month of Tishri, we are all about to experience and see what true global shakings look like and understand why beginning this Biblical month we are being forced to another level of oneness with the Father, Yeshua, and the Holy Spirit. The Fear (reverential awe) of Adonai is our saving grace starting this month, a key that will unlock our fullest potential to truly live in the world but not of it. As the unraveling of the current world order begins, the Fear of Adonai reminds us that there is none beside Him, none greater, causing all fear of the world and everything happening in it to disappear. The warrior of God is about to be awakened within you like no other time in your life. Divine strategies will be received, and the necessity to work together as different parts of the Body of Yeshua will no longer be something optional. Despite the shakings, for the people of God, as we hear His voice and trust in Him, this will be a month of fruitfulness, celebration, victory, and a new beginning that will shape the next 7 years of our lives.
Tishri literally means “beginning”, and has been used to refer to the 7th month since after Israel’s exile in Babylon, and officially marks the starting point of the year 5783 according to the calendar of creation. In Scripture the name used for the 7th month is Ethanim (1 Kings 8:2) which means “living or everlasting waters”. As we enter through the gates of Ethanim we are being baptized afresh in the Spirit of the Living God, a new beginning, with new and renewed strength washed clean and given new robes for this new season. In this 7th month of living waters the 5th, 6th, and 7th Feasts of Adonai are celebrated including, Yom Teruah (Feast of Trumpets), Yom Kippur (Day of Atonement), and Sukkoth (Feast of Tabernacles). These three feasts have a magnified meaning this Tishri as we exit the Shmita year, and enter into 7 new years. 7 New Years beginning on the 7th month when we finish the 7th Feast, we are being called to know and have relationship with the 7 spirits of God (Isaiah 11:1-3)which will equip us for what is to come. To best understand this month, we must first have a solid foundation for the reason we as believers celebrate the High Holidays, what they were for, the prophetic meaning of each feast today, and what they are a rehearsal for in the future. Time to get launched into 5783!
The High Holidays
Yom Teruah (Feast of Trumpets) Sep. 25-26
Was celebrated in remembrance of the laws and covenant that Israel made with Adonai at Mount Sinai that began with Elohim descending on Mount Sinai with thunder and flashes of lightning, and a thick cloud was on the mountain, and a very loud blast was sounded on a ram’s horn (Exodus 19-24).
Today it is a celebration of the coming return of Yeshua as King over all the earth and the first resurrection of those dead in Christ who will be made incorruptible and the living who will be changed at the final trumpet (1 Thessalonians 4:16, 1 Corinthians 15:51-52, Revelation 11:15).
Yom Kippur (Day of Atonement) Oct. 4-5
Used to be the day that the Israelites sacrificed one goat for the sin offering (Scapegoat) of the nation and let the other goat go into the uninhabited wilderness. (Leviticus 16:10).
Yeshua came as the sin offering to atone for the sins of the world (scapegoat) and was resurrected to the right hand of the father while satan continues to roam and be the ruler of the earth. (1 John 2:2, Mark 16:19, 2 Corinthians 4:4), but Yeshua has authority over satan as do we through His blood which defeated sin and death.
Yom Kippur is a rehearsal of the day after Yeshua returns to rule and reign and will banish satan into the bottomless pit for 1,000 years (Revelation 20:1-3).
Sukkot (Feast of Tabernacles) Oct. 9-15
Before, the Israelites would gather in Jerusalem and dwell in small huts or tents made from the leafy branches of trees, and rejoice in the worship of Adonai (Leviticus 23:40) commemorating the times in the wilderness after the Exodus of Egypt and how God provided everything for them. This is still practiced in Israel.
Yeshua and the disciples celebrated Sukkot (John 7:2-14) declaring on the last day of the feast of Tabernacles in the temple to the thousands who would have been in attendance, “If anyone is thirsty, let him come to Me and drink! He who believes in Me, as the Scripture has said, ‘From his innermost being will flow continually rivers of living water (Ethanim)’” (John 7:37-38).
Now, during Sukkot we celebrate that Yeshua promised He will never leave us nor forsake us and celebrate the everlasting waters He promised that day (The Holy Spirit) in us.
Shemini Aaretz, the last day of the Feast, we celebrate prophetically we as the Bride of Yeshua entering the wedding in intimacy with the Bride Groom Yeshua.
Prophetically, we are celebrating The New Millennium to come when Yeshua reigns from Zion.(Zechariah 14:9,16-21 and Revelation 20:1-6).
Ephraim: Fruitful Inheritance
The tribe of the 7th month is Ephraim, the youngest of Joseph’s two sons, who although being the youngest received the inheritance of the firstborn when Jacob prophesied over them (Genesis 48:16-19). The meaning of Ephraim is “fruitful” and is speaking directly to the remnant in this day and hour. Joseph said he named his son Ephraim because Adonai had made him fruitful in the land of his suffering (Genesis 41:52). Even as the global economy is shaking it is an invitation to receive the mantle of Joseph for such a time as this for kingdom strategies, grace and favor, understanding, and provision to arrive now. While the world says recession, Adonai is saying be fruitful, but not only fruitful in provision, but fruitful in the bounty of salvations we will see boom around the globe from the ends of the earth back to Jerusalem. Jacob prophesied that Ephraim would become a multitude of nations (Genesis 46:19), and Moses prophesied that Ephraim would reach even to the ends of the earth (Deuteronomy 33:17). That has now all come to pass. Adonai knows what he has prepared for you even if you do not and like the wise men bringing precious gifts which prepared the family of Yeshua to flee to Egypt soon thereafter, Adonai is sending gifts fit for royalty to you as well straight from the King of kings. Believe it and receive it in Yeshua’s mighty name!
Thy Kingdom Come
Ephraim was raised in Egypt but was an Israelite by blood, then became a part of Israel’s inheritance with his brother Manasseh. In parallel, we have all been raised in the world (Egypt), but redeemed by the blood of Yeshua and grafted into a global kingdom family. We live in this world but not of it, and are spiritual beings in a human body, not the other way around. Our reality and perspective is seated with Yeshua at the right hand of the Father, but our minds are often still trapped in a world paradigm. That changes starting this month and new year 5783. Now is the time to know and understand every promise and spiritual blessing we have in the heavenly places to bring it on earth as it is in heaven. We don’t have the need to agree with the fear, worry, doubt, division, anxiety, and hatred that the world tells us we should live in. Our minds are being transformed according to the Word. As citizens of heaven, our love, joy peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control does not come from the world, but from the Spirit (Galatians 5:22-23). This month as we celebrate the present victory we have in Yeshua’s death and resurrection, and as we look toward the prophetic future of satan banished while Yeshua rules and reigns for 1,000 years, now is the time to get our perspective straight, heaven down. Now is the time to blow the trumpet, to break through the airwaves with true worship in Spirit and Truth declaring YHWH’s kingdom come and will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
Mozanaim: Justice and Judgement
The heavens proclaim the glory of Adonai, and this month is no different. The main constellation in the night sky this month is Mozanaim, the weighing scales of justice and judgement, but what is justice and is judgement always bad? God is a just judge who judges fairly, but how does that apply to us differently under the New Covenant. Our role is not to be the judge, as only Adonai can do so fairly, so what is our role during this month of Justice and judgement? When the Samaritans did not give Yeshua and His disciples accommodation on the way to Jerusalem the response of James and John to Yeshua was, “Lord, do You want us to command fire to come down from heaven and destroy them?” But He turned and rebuked them [and He said, “You do not know what kind of spirit you are; for the Son of Man did not come to destroy men’s lives, but to save them.”] And they journeyed on to another village (Luke 9:54-56). Only by the Son of Man, Yeshua, are we saved from a negative judgement, and this is the justice of God.
However, be warned, the Father is making decrees and judgements over the nations this month, and over cities, and towns, etc. As such, it is our duty as the global Ekklesia to enter the throne room of the Most High and to hear what He is decreeing as well as to remember what He has promised in the past over your nation, city, town, business, family and yourself, and to loose it on earth as it has been loosed in heaven (Matthew 16:19 amp). Yeshua called James and John the “Sons of Thunder” and we are being called to do the same as we hear the voice of Abba Father thundering from heaven, to agree, and see the decree go forth like lightning from the throne room, creating a moment as the lightning stretches forth from heaven at the same time touching earth as they come into agreement with the Father. The plans and schemes of the fallen kingdom of darkness are vast throughout the globe and this will be the month everything is set in motion in a major way, and many of these things need to come to pass for Scripture to be fulfilled, but the enemy is trying to accelerate that which only God can. Let us come into agreement with God’s timeline this Biblical month and bind and loose that which has been bound and loosed in heaven for such a time as this.
Ethanim: The 7 Spirits of God
Don’t underestimate the timing of Adonai. He is always on time and His feasts are fixed, markers of the times and seasons we are living in, and Ethanim the 7th month has always been a time of great happenings in the Word of God. King Solomon transferring the Ark of the Covenant from the Tabernacle of David to the First Temple (1 Kings 8) happened this month, a similar but opposite transition of the Body of Messiah today. Instead of inviting us into a fixed building like the First Temple, the Father is inviting the remnant to the people instead of the people to the church. He is calling us to be the moving Body in the Tabernacle of David once more, conquering the land one saved soul at a time. This is the month that Ezra, stood in front of the Water Gate reading the people the Law which they had long turned from during the exile in Babylon, reminding them not to weep because today there is a feast to celebrate and to rejoice as Adonai has called us to do so (Ezra 8). All of the thousands of feast days celebrated during Ethanim pointed to one especially important day during the last day of Sukkot. Yeshua stood up in the middle of the Temple complex and addressed everyone during the biggest celebration of the year, and spoke about the rivers of water that would flow continually from those who believed in Him. He was speaking about the Holy Spirit that was to be given once He had ascended to the throne (John 7:39).
This is the month of the promise of the Comforter, the Counselor, the Revealer, the very Spirit of YHWH dwelling within us. But if we don’t intimately know the seven-fold Spirit of God we are missing out on fully knowing God in us and us in Him. Without understanding each of the 7 spirits, we will not be fully equipped for the season we have entered into.
And the Spirit of the Lord will rest on Him—
The Spirit of wisdom and understanding, the Spirit of counsel and strength, the Spirit of knowledge and of the [reverential and obedient] fear of the Lord
And He will delight in the fear of the Lord, And He will not judge by what His eyes see, nor make decisions by what His ears hear (Isaiah 11:1-3).
There are 7 but notice the one mentioned first, after the naming of the 7, “And He will DELIGHT in the Fear of the Lord”. As we know and experience the reverential awe of God entering before His throne by the blood of Yeshua, the closer we get to His feet, the more He reveals what is still unholy within us that needs taking care of before we can come any closer to holiness. Knowing the Fear of the Lord is the beginning of unlocking access to the other 6 and knowing the Holy Spirit in this month of Ethanim like never before in our lives. Let’s drink the spiritual “drano” to unclog anything that is stopping the flow, repent, move forward, and watch the gardens around you grow as the river goes with the flow of the Mind of YHWH Himself. In this month of the Holy Spirit, we celebrate the miraculous promises of Adonai of the past, present, and future, and turn the everlasting water on full blast immersing ourselves and everyone around us.
Turmoil is about to erupt on the world stage, but this is not a month to fast and mourn, but to feast and celebrate the final three feasts of Adonai remembering what was, is, and Who is to come. Like Ephraim from being Egyptian to be adopted as an Israelite, we too have been adopted as sons and daughters of the Most High taken from the Egyptian mindset of slavery and given the tools to have the mindset that reflects the promises and reality of our new home, the heavenly Jerusalem. We are no longer from this world, and this is the month to raise the flag of the Kingdom of heaven high in the face of the plans of the fallen kingdom of darkness. As sons and daughters of thunder we pray for our enemies and bless those who curse us, but refuse to agree with anything that has not gone forth from the throne room. By the authority given to us by the blood of the Lamb we bind and loose that which has already been bound and loosed in heaven to see the perfect will of the Father come to pass in His perfect timing for His glory. His justice and His righteous judgements will come down like lightning this Biblical month.
Ethanim, the month of living waters, the Holy Spirit is challenging us to go deeper in connection with the fullness of the sevenfold Spirit of God to unlock the manifold perfection of Himself within us. The Fear of the Lord is our friend to rejoice in as we go deeper into our relationship with the Holy Spirit, and the enemy and all his schemes will seem minuscule at best as we do. There is an army rising up in the nations and in Israel, shaking off the dust, being revived and supernaturally energized to continue preparing the way for the return of Yeshua. The next 7 years have begun, and we are being called to pick up the sword of Truth and march forward into battle shofars blasting as if to say yes and amen to all Adonai has called us to for such a time as this. Are you amongst them? Yeshua is alive and He is coming soon! Adonai bless you and Chag Sameach!
