Tevet 2026: The joy set before us

Turning a new page is uncomfortable with the wrong understanding, and God’s people die due to lack of knowledge (Hosea 4:6, Isaiah 5:13). Transition feels like a minefield when relying on the revelation of the past. Stepping into the new things of God for your life is impossible when believing the old wineskin can hold the new wine. But let’s flip the script, for the joy of Yahweh is set before you to see what is truly needed this Tevet, and now, having entered into 2026, the time to operate in and not only know about the kingdom is at hand.

• Mark 1:15: “The time has come,” He said. “The kingdom of God has come near. Repent and believe the good news!”
• Matthew 3:2: “Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand” (KJV).
• Matthew 4:17: “From that time Jesus began to preach, saying, ‘Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand'” (ESV).
• Luke 10:9: Jesus sends out disciples to proclaim, “The kingdom of God has come near to you.”

As we follow the trajectory of these verses, it inevitably ends in being sent out with the disciples, “proclaiming” not only with words but in power and perfect love. To take such a step of faith is not comfortable, but the disciples were armed with the fresh revelation of Yeshua as king and the fact that His promises of the kingdom were not for when they had died and reached heaven, but here and now. The same applies for each of us today in every facet of our lives. Which begs the question: what does the kingdom here and now look like?

Kingdom Here and Now

Every parable that Yeshua ever spoke began with, “The Kingdom of heaven is like this…,” here and now. The keys of the kingdom we have been given by and through Yeshua have given us authority to bind and loose that which has already been bound and loosed in heaven (Matthew 16:19). After having ministered around the world in over 85 countries, on many occasions we have not had contacts in the countries we have entered, only enough money for a one-way ticket, and many times no money upon arrival, no place to stay, or food to eat when we set our feet in uncharted territory.

However, one thing has always been true: the Holy Spirit said, “Go there,” and now, without any other instructions given except for, “I will let you know what you need to know when you arrive.” Uncomfortable, yes; scary at first, of course; even anxiety-inducing until we remembered His promises and began to stand upon them like a house built on the rock (Matthew 7:24–27).

In doing so, being led by the Holy Spirit and armed with His Word and pressing into daily relationship due to our total reliance upon Him, discomfort and fear quickly gave way to excitement and great joy at being called to bear witness to what He would do in our midst as His witnesses. The unknown was no longer a place or time, circumstance or situation we held at arm’s length or ran from, but dove right into with absolute confidence that if He said this is where we were to be, then surely and most definitely He would not leave us nor forsake us.

Just as the disciples were instructed to bring only the clothes on their backs and sandals on their feet (Mark 6:8–9), we decided that if that was enough for them whom Yeshua had sent, surely it would be more than what we would need in this day and age as well. And whether we were sat before kings and queens, prime ministers and presidents, dignitaries, politicians, business owners, the poor, homeless, widows, orphans, prostitutes, transgender, LGBTQ-professing people, fellow brothers and sisters in Yeshua, and everyone in between, He has never failed to put the words in our mouths—usually not before arriving, but when we stood before them.

The Joy Set Before You

Miracles, signs, and wonders have followed not because we are special, but simply because when called, although terrified, the love of the Father was greater, and His presence allowed us to overflow with the reality of heaven here on earth. The kingdom of Yahweh is at hand if only we would take courage like Joshua crossing into Canaan, and the countless known and unknown men and women of God who have come before and are among us this day. Whom shall we fear? Those with power, money, station, or those who follow and proclaim chaos and destruction, lies, hate, and division spewed and embedded in this fallen world we live in? No, none but Yahweh (Psalm 21:7). What shall we fear except the regret and deep sorrow that comes with not taking that one small step or leap of faith when God Almighty calls us forth? When we look back on our lives, both recent and in the distant past, will we grieve having not taken the opportunity to take up His yoke, which is easy, and His burden, which is light? And what’s more, to feel the grieving of the Holy Spirit throughout our very being and essence because we did not truly believe He is fully and totally Who He says He is? What many say is a great responsibility, we have come to know as the greatest privilege and honor to know Him and follow Him for His glory to be made clear and evident to all who have ears to hear and eyes to see, and to stand in awe each day as hearts thought hardened and destined for hell give way to His perfect love.

To rejoice with the hosts of heaven as the lost and dying see a great Light in the darkest and most hopeless times, situations, and circumstances, and for sons and daughters of perdition to be redeemed, awakened, and activated before our very eyes is beyond worth it, just one! To witness those who are lost become sons and daughters of the Most High, kings and priests forevermore in the order of Melchizedek has no equal in its satisfaction and thanksgiving. The fear of the darkness, of the many legions of the fallen kingdom of darkness, the principalities and powers, of failure, loss, death, disappointment, curses, schemes, betrayal, taking offense, etc., have with each step of obedience become the joy set before us. A joy that was once fleeting at most and elusive at best has become a mystery unfolded and unlocked that can only be found and revealed in walking out His kingdom come and will be done here and now as it already is in heaven.

Although understanding every parable of Yeshua is not necessary to begin one’s walk of faith and joy in the King of kings, below is a list to re-familiarize ourselves with what His kingdom looks like so that in comparing our lives to said parables, we can have honest self-reflection as we meditate upon His Words. Make it your New Year’s resolution (Revolution) to do so in His presence, being led by the Holy Spirit Who knows the mind and thoughts of the Father.

1 Corinthians 2:11–13

“For what person knows the thoughts and motives of a man except the man’s spirit within him? So also no one knows the thoughts of God except the Spirit of God. Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the [Holy] Spirit who is from God, so that we may know and understand the [wonderful] things freely given to us by God. We also speak of these things, not in words taught or supplied by human wisdom, but in those taught by the Spirit, combining and interpreting spiritual thoughts with spiritual words [for those being guided by the Holy Spirit].”

Dominion

As the Biblical times and seasons continue on with or without us, and end-times Scripture is coming to pass in rapid succession, one parable in particular is of great importance as we enter into this new year, a parable many of us are familiar with, but with a twist we ourselves have only recently heard preached. The Parable of the Talents, so often seen as one of multiplying one’s finances, is more deeply understood as the Parable of Dominion. The man who buried the talent is given special attention as an example of what not to do, but when we turn that talent, or sum of money, into every gift and promise God has given us, the parable quickly takes a turn as this man becomes the one who has hidden away that which was meant to be multiplied in the world.

“You are the light of [Christ to] the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden; nor does anyone light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a lampstand, and it gives light to all who are in the house. Let your light shine before men in such a way that they may see your good deeds and moral excellence, and [recognize and honor and] glorify your Father who is in heaven” (Matthew 5:14–16).

And in the end of said parable, the fate of the man with one talent is truly heartbreaking, but more deeply understood when we see the talent as God sees it: everything which has been freely given by grace through the death and resurrection of Yeshua. With this knowledge, how do you now understand his punishment? And why would this be the last parable Matthew ever wrote?

“So take the talent away from him, and give it to the one who has the ten talents.” “For to everyone who has [and values his blessings and gifts from God, and has used them wisely], more will be given, and [he will be richly supplied so that] he will have an abundance; but from the one who does not have [because he has ignored or disregarded his blessings and gifts from God], even what he does have will be taken away. And throw out the worthless servant into the outer darkness; in that place [of grief and torment] there will be weeping [over sorrow and pain] and grinding of teeth [over distress and anger]” (Matthew 25:28–30).

When we compare the man who buried the talent to that of Adam and Eve, we may even see what he did as prudent. While Adam and Eve gave away their dominion over the garden of Eden to Satan by eating the forbidden fruit of the knowledge of good and evil, at least the man with one talent did not give away his God-given inheritance, right? Adam and Eve did not have the mandate from heaven to shine the light for all to see, as men did not yet inhabit the earth as we know it today, but the man with the talent did, and so do we. If you have buried your talent, it is time to dig it up and begin to multiply it this Tevet. Allow the Holy Spirit to lead you and guide you in doing so. “Trust in and rely confidently on Yahweh with all your heart and do not rely on your own insight or understanding. In all your ways know and acknowledge and recognize Him, and He will make your paths straight and smooth [removing obstacles that block your way]” (Proverbs 3:5–6). Take dominion in all things in Yeshua Ha’Mashiach, and in your multiplying may it be a testimony to all who bear witness that Yeshua is truly the King of kings and Lord of lords. As His hand leads and guides you, protects you, uplifts you, imbues you with perfect love and power, and while the fruits of the Spirit (Galatians 5:22–23) become evident in your life, may the forbidden fruit which we have all inherited upon birth become bitter and rotten to the point of spitting it out upon the ground where it belongs, to be trampled underfoot.

Elisha’s Lesson on Transition

We all know the fantastical and true story of Elisha receiving the mantle of Elijah as he is taken up in chariots of fire to heaven without having to experience death (2 Kings 2:10–14). And when he took up the mantle of Elijah and received a double portion of his Spirit, the sons of Jericho witnessed it with their own eyes (2 Kings 2:15). But what comes next seems to be but a footnote in this moment of historic transition for Israel and the world at large, but holds in it the key to either learning from the consequences of our disobedience or hearing the Word of Yahweh and obeying without hesitation.

Upon seeing this miracle of God, the sons of Jericho told Elisha they had fifty able-bodied men who could go and look for Elijah, just in case the Spirit of God had taken him up onto a mountain or set him down in a valley, to which Elisha commanded simply, “You shall not send anyone” (2 Kings 2:16). But the people of Jericho continued to persist to such a degree that Scripture tells us he was too embarrassed to refuse, and they shamed him into compliance (2 Kings 2:17). They searched for three days and found nothing, and upon their return, Elisha simply replied, “Did I not say to you, do not go?”

Even after bearing witness to the fact that Elisha had not only received the mantle of Elijah but also a double portion of his spirit, they insisted on doing the opposite of what he commanded because they could not imagine a world without Elijah, who had been the faithful and powerful prophet and savior of Israel for so long. They had become comfortable and accustomed to the old wine and the old wineskin, which, although extraordinary even in all of Scripture and in history, did not realize and could not imagine another prophet who could top the mighty miracles, signs, and wonders of Elijah, which had brought Israel back into following God’s law and worshipping the Great I Am.

What or who could follow such a role and not merely be but a shadow of such a man of God? And yet they saw that such a man was clearly standing before them in no uncertain terms, and still clung to the old wine and wineskin all the same. Can you relate? Even in our suffering, complacency, success, and sin, we all have gotten comfortable at some point, and to break into the new thing, the greater thing that God has clearly and plainly set before us, these things instinctively and habitually take precedence because we are in uncharted territory.

For many leaders and prophets, this happens often, and instead of seeing obedience to the Word of God, they are forced to watch people have to learn from the consequences of not doing so. And in the case of Elisha, something we see that is missing in his response is taking offense, responding in anger, disowning them, or even judging them, as the prophets of old many times did.

We are living in a time of great transition, and it is time for us to heed the warning of this story of grand transition so that we may not waste time, resources, and bring along many others to follow such a disobedient example by clinging to the old instead of aligning with the new thing God is doing. Tevet and 2026 are ushering in the new thing God is doing, and the time to agree in action and deed, both personally and corporately, is now. What will you choose? God has promised breakthrough and increase in 2026, but are you ready to conform to the new time and season that is here and now?

New Grain, New Wine, and New Oil: Declare it and Decree it for Now!

Transition is not comfortable but essential. Many of us are not ready for the passing of the mantle, but when have we ever been ready? Hosea 2:21–23 is the blueprint for 2026, and comes with the redemption and restoration of inheritance on every level in our personal calling and destiny for this new season, and for the Bride of Yeshua and the world at large. As we plant the mustard seed of faith, which is robust and can grow in nearly any soil or condition, God is meeting us where we are and giving us the privilege, honor, and opportunity to transition and be launched victoriously into this new season. For many of us, this means a redemption from wrong decisions and wrong living, as we have disobeyed in many instances the Word of God and gone astray from our calling and destinies. For others, it means seeing clearly this new season and what to do even after obedience and following the leading of the Holy Spirit, knowing the new thing God will do far surpasses the old wineskin and the old wine, even after it has borne great fruit.

With this understanding, as we enter this new season, may we propose a prophetic act in faith to activate God’s blessings and promises in our lives, callings, destinies, and godly inheritance for the new thing God is restoring, redeeming, and activating in the nations and back to Jerusalem. If you have access to a physical mustard seed, procure it, whether on your own or with others the Holy Spirit leads you to join with in faith, and in the context of Hosea 1 and 2, declare and decree Hosea 2:21–23, which says,

“It will come about in that day that I will respond,” says the Lord.

“I will respond to the heavens [which ask for rain to pour on the earth], and they will respond to the earth [which begs for the rain],

And the earth shall respond to the grain and the new wine and the oil [which beg it to bring them forth], and they will respond to Jezreel [My Israel, who will now be restored].

“I will sow her for Myself in the land.

I will also have mercy on her who had not obtained mercy; and I will say to those who were not My people, ‘You are My people,’

And they will say, ‘You are my God!’”

Yahweh bless you and keep you, Kingdom Family, and may this new time and season bear great fruit for the glory of the Most High and for His kingdom come on earth as it is in heaven!
