Shemini Atzeret
What a day we have the privilege to celebrate! It is the eighth day of Sukkot, the final day of the feast of Tabernacles when Adonai invites Israel to wait for one more day with Him after the 7th day (Leviticus 23:36). In the 7 days before 70 bulls were sacrificed as a representation of the nations of the world, but on this day, only one for Israel. It is a picture of the bride of Yeshua, who after the 7 days of celebrating the wedding of the bride finally left to give the Groom and the Bride their time alone together.

It is a sacred day of celebration, a day if intimacy with the King, and a prophetic picture of the coming Millennial reign of Yeshua (Isaiah 65:17, Revelation 21:1). For us today, it is a reminder that we as the body of Yeshua are being prepared as the bride, a bride fit for the Groom Yeshua, a Proverbs 31 bride who bears fruit and evidence of our love for Him. Through sickness and health we stand, through persecution and hard times we stand. We have been given the greatest wedding gift in the universe, the Holy Spirit, our comforter and teacher to guide us and help us to be, together as the global body of Yeshua, such a bride befitting the King of kings, Lord of Lords, Lord of hosts, the Prince of Peace Himself.

Are we that bride? If there is any doubt of our preparedness and fruit, let it be what spurs us onward into that place of great intimacy, faith, and miracles, signs, and wonders around the world that is evidence of our readiness for Yeshua’s return. Let us celebrate today the soon return of the King, and rejoice no matter our circumstance or situation because the victory is already won in Yeshua’s mighty name! Adonai bless you and Happy Shemini Atzeret to you and your family!
