Tishri: Battle Stations
This Biblical month, we are experiencing and seeing what true global shakings look like. But if we think we have seen the fullness of those shakings, it is just the beginning. The timing of the U.N. general assembly and the consequential decrees by more than 150 nations siding with the creation of a Palestinian state while the staunch defense of Israel by the few is no coincidence as we enter the month of feasting and celebration, an inflection point in the natural and the Spirit for the entire world. The forces of the people of the Way are being gathered across the globe as the Holy Spirit guides each of us uniquely and collectively as one body not reactively but proactively in faith and action agreeing with and decreeing that which has already been decreed from the throne of Elohim. his Tishri we are being forced to another level of oneness with the Father, Yeshua, and the Holy Spirit, and while victories are being won in the natural, we are being reminded that said victories begin and matriculate as we war in the heavens binding and loosing here on earth that which has already been bound and loosed in heaven (Matthew 16:19). The Fear (reverential awe) of Yahweh is our saving grace starting this month, a key that will unlock our fullest potential to truly live in the world but not of it. As the unraveling of the current world order continues, the Fear of Yahweh reminds us that there is none beside Him, none greater, causing all fear of current and would be world events to disappear. It is time to switch gears as the acceleration of God has not only reached our ears, but is now here.
Get ready, and have your feet planted firmly in the heavenly places as the warrior of God is about to be awakened within you like no other time in your life. Divine strategies will be received, and the necessity to work together as different parts of the Body of Yeshua will no longer be optional. Despite the continuous and greater shakings, for we as the sons and daughters of God as we hear His voice and trust in Him, this will be a month of fruitfulness, celebration, victory, and a new beginnings that will shape the years to come. Tishri literally means “beginning”, and the name in Scripture used for the 7th month is “Ethanim (1 Kings 8:2) which means “living or everlasting waters”. As we enter through the gates of Ethanim we are being baptized afresh in the Spirit of the Living God, a new beginning, with new and renewed strength, washed clean and given new robes for this new season. In this 7th month of living waters the 5th, 6th, and 7th Feasts of Adonai are celebrated including, Yom Teruah (Feast of Trumpets), Yom Kippur (Day of Atonement), and Sukkoth (Feast of Tabernacles). These three feasts have a magnified meaning this Tishri which we should closely heed. The wisdom of the world is foolishness to God and the wisdom of God is foolishness to the world (1 Corinthians 3:19), so let us reason together (Isaiah 1:18-20) and discern together the times and seasons and what to do (1 Chronicles 12:32).
ETHANIM: EVERLASTING WATERS
Don’t underestimate the timing of Yahweh. He is always on time and His feasts are fixed, markers of the times and seasons we are living in, and Ethanim, commonly known as Tishri, the 7th month has always been a time of great happenings in the Word of God. King Solomon transferring the Ark of the Covenant from the Tabernacle of David to the First Temple (1 Kings 8) happened this month, a similar but opposite transition of the Body of Messiah today. Instead of inviting us into a fixed building like the First Temple, the Father is inviting the Ekklesias of the world to the people instead of the people to find out for themselves. He is calling us to be the moving Body after the Tabernacle of David once more, conquering the land one saved soul at a time. This is the month that Ezra stood in front of the Water Gate reading the people the Law which they had long turned from during the exile in Babylon, reminding them not to weep because today there is a feast to celebrate and to rejoice as the Kings of kings has called us to do so (Ezra 8). The world is weeping and in bondage, but the Truth will set them free. All of the thousands of feast days up until today celebrated during Ethanim pointed to one especially important day. Yeshua stood up in the middle of the Temple complex and addressed everyone during the biggest celebration of the year (Sukkot), and spoke about the rivers of water that would flow continually from those who believed in Him. He was speaking about the Holy Spirit that was to be given once He had ascended to the throne (John 7:39).
This is the month of the promise of the Comforter, the Counselor, the Revealer, the very Spirit of Yahweh dwelling within us. For many believers, the Holy Spirit is just something required to have and when we get it, that’s it, we are good to go. This could not be farther from reality, especially because this is no time to live off of the teachings of men, but of the Holy Spirit. Why? “No one knows the thoughts of God except the Spirit of God. Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the [Holy] Spirit who is from God, so that we may know and understand the [wonderful] things freely given to us by God” (1 Corinthians 2:11-13). Truly everlasting waters. Paul goes on to tell us that “the spiritual man [the spiritually mature Believer] judges all things [questions, examines and applies what the Holy Spirit reveals]” (1 Corinthians 2:15). There is a lot of noise out there, plenty of tradition, lots of religion, each person, politician, Financier, businesses, corporations with an angle, a scheme, and plenty of prophets saying many different things. However, there is One we can trust to give us the whole Truth though, the One who knows the Mind of the Creator. Now more than ever, brothers and sisters, we must be in constant communication with the Holy Spirit with the teachings and prophetic words, dreams, and visions being CONFIRMATION of things already received instead of the absolute voice of truth. Since the time of Adam until Yeshua, the Father has been eagerly waiting to give us the gift of the Holy Spirit. Now 2,000 years have passed and before we know it Yeshua will return. In this month of the Holy Spirit, when we celebrate the miraculous promises of Elohim from the past, present, and future, be sure to turn the Everlasting Water on full blast. Let the river flow from within you like the River of Life that will flow from Yeshua’s throne in the new millennium to come. Drink the spiritual “drano” to unclog anything that is stopping the flow, repent, move forward, and watch the gardens around you grow as the river goes with the flow of the Mind of Yahweh Himself.
MOZANAIM: JUSTICE AND JUDGEMENT
The heavens proclaim the glory of God, and this month is no different. The main constellation in the night sky this month is Mozanaim, the weighing scales of justice and judgement, but what is justice and is judgement always bad? God is a just Judge who judges fairly, but how does that apply to us differently under the New Covenant as priests forever in the order of Melchizedech (Hebrews 7:17-28)? Our role is not to be the judge, as only Adonai can do so fairly, so what is our role during this month of Justice and judgement? When the Samaritans did not give Yeshua and His disciples accommodation on the way to Jerusalem the response of James and John to Yeshua was, “Lord, do You want us to command fire to come down from heaven and destroy them?” But He turned and rebuked them [and He said, “You do not know what kind of spirit you are; for the Son of Man did not come to destroy men’s lives, but to save them.”] And they journeyed on to another village (Luke 9:54-56). Only by the Son of Man, Yeshua, are we saved from a negative judgement, and this is the justice of God which we are to remember as we enter in the door of this new season.
However, be warned, the Father is making decrees and judgements over the nations this month, and over cities, and towns, etc. As such, it is our duty as the global Ekklesia to enter the throne room of the Most High and to hear what He is decreeing as well as to remember what He has promised in the past over your nation, city, town, business, family and yourself, and to loose it on earth as it has been loosed in heaven (Matthew 16:19 amp). Yeshua called James and John the “Sons of Thunder” and we are being called to do the same as we hear the voice of Abba Father thundering from heaven, to agree, and see the decree go forth like lightning from the throne room, creating a moment as the lightning stretches forth from heaven at the same time touching earth as we come into agreement with the Father. The plans and schemes of the fallen kingdom of darkness are vast throughout the globe and this will be the month everything is set in motion in a major way, and many of these things need to come to pass for Scripture to be fulfilled, but the enemy is trying to accelerate that which only God can. Let us come into agreement with God’s timeline this Biblical month and bind and loose that which has already been bound and loosed in heaven for such a time as this.
ROARING POWER OF THE GLOBAL SHOFAR BLAST
We all blow the shofar from the Sep. 23rd to the 24th around the world and here in Jerusalem, and if you don’t have a shofar or a trumpet use the one God gave you and let out the roar of the Lion of Judah in you! Imagine looking down upon the earth from heaven as 100’s of millions of men and women of God sound the trumpet in agreement and in oneness for God’s plan for this year! From the face of the earth like flames of fire and flares in the night sky ascending to heaven making way for angel armies to land and saying to the King of glory, send us, we will go. We all say together, “the end times mission is a go.”
All of this on the same day of Yeshua’s likely return and the ingathering of the elect from the 4 corners of the earth (Matthew 24:30-32), and as an open heaven takes form, The Lord of Hosts is giving His blueprint not only for this year, but years to come. In Joel 2 the prophet Joel blew the trumpet to gather all of Israel for the people to be sanctified, forgiven, and receive the abundant promise of the Most High over them instead of judgement. Gideon went to battle against impossible odds and blew the shofars seeing the supernatural defeat of the enemy, and at the blast of the shofars, Jericho’s walls fell! Finally as we blow the shofar This Yom Teruah, it is in celebration and in jubilation of the supernatural victory of God that His blood has made a reality in our lives, and the coming return and coronation of Yeshua the King for He alone deserves the glory, honor, and praise.
EPHRAIM: FRUITFUL INHERITANCE
The tribe of the 7th month is Ephraim, the youngest of Joseph’s two sons, who although being the youngest received the inheritance of the firstborn when Jacob prophesied over them (Genesis 48:16-19). The meaning of Ephraim is “fruitful” and is speaking directly to the remnant in this day and hour. Joseph said he named his son Ephraim because Adonai had made him fruitful in the land of his suffering (Genesis 41:52). Even as the global economy is shaking it is an invitation to receive the mantle of Joseph for such a time as this for kingdom strategies, grace and favor, understanding, and provision to arrive now. While the world says recession, Adonai is saying be fruitful, but not only fruitful in provision, but fruitful in the bounty of salvations we will see boom around the globe from the ends of the earth back to Jerusalem.
Jacob prophesied that Ephraim would become a multitude of nations (Genesis 46:19), and Moses prophesied that Ephraim would reach even to the ends of the earth (Deuteronomy 33:17). That has now all but come to pass. The Lord of Majesty knows what he has prepared for you even if you do not, and like the wise men bringing precious gifts which prepared the family of Yeshua to flee to Egypt soon thereafter, Jehovah Jireh ( The Lord our Provider) is sending gifts fit for royalty to you as well straight from the treasuries of heaven. Believe it and receive it in Yeshua’s mighty name!
CONCLUSION
For many of us, this Ethanim a wall stands before us, a wall of worry, doubt and frustration, an immovable thing in our eyes that we find it hard to see beyond. However, God is calling us to see this impenetrable wall not as a solid one, but as a wall of water, a waterfall that must be walked through to begin this new season. It is a Mikveh, waters of cleansing, healing, and being launched into the destiny of the Most High, refreshed, renewed and awakened by the cold crisp waters which open our eyes to the reality of the future which God has for us. The enemy wishes to blind us from the future God has with lies of doubt, confusion, and fear, but Ethanim is not a wall to fear but rather a wall of living water to walk through and see the good plans He has for us.
It is a time to be stretched in our faith and to be brought closer to one another and to the Father Himself like never before. Deceptions engulf the earth but the Truth continues to set us free, growing us into trees flourishing with the 9 fruits of the Spirit for all to behold and see what God has in store for them as well. Justice and judgement, open doors, the rise of Ephraim and the roar of the trumpet blasts around the world, and intimacy with the 7 fold Spirit of God are what we have to look forward to this Tishri. May you grow mightily in the Most High, and walk through the water gate of Ethanim refreshed and ready for battle. Yahweh bless you and keep you!
THE HIGH HOLY DAYS
YOM TERUAH (FEAST OF TRUMPETS) SEP. 23-24
Was celebrated in remembrance of the laws and covenant that Israel made with Adonai at Mount Sinai that began with Elohim descending on Mount Sinai with thunder and flashes of lightning, and a thick cloud was on the mountain, and a very loud blast was sounded on a ram’s horn (Exodus 19-24).
Today it is a celebration of the coming return of Yeshua as King over all the earth and the first resurrection of those dead in Christ who will be made incorruptible and the living who will be changed at the final trumpet (1 Thessalonians 4:16, 1 Corinthians 15:51-52, Revelation 11:15).
YOM KIPPUR (DAY OF ATONEMENT) OCT. 1-2
Used to be the day that the Israelites sacrificed one goat for the sin offering (Scapegoat) of the nation and let the other goat go into the uninhabited wilderness. (Leviticus 16:10).
Yeshua came as the sin offering to atone for the sins of the world (scapegoat) and was resurrected to the right hand of the father while satan continues to roam and be the ruler of the earth. (1 John 2:2, Mark 16:19, 2 Corinthians 4:4), but Yeshua has authority over satan as do we through His blood which defeated sin and death.
Yom Kippur is a rehearsal of the day after Yeshua returns to rule and reign and will banish Satan into the bottomless pit for 1,000 years (Revelation 20:1-3).
SUKKOT (FEAST OF TABERNACLES) OCT. 7-15/h4>
Before, the Israelites would gather in Jerusalem and dwell in small huts or tents made from the leafy branches of trees, and rejoice in the worship of Adonai (Leviticus 23:40) commemorating the times in the wilderness after the Exodus of Egypt and how God provided everything for them. This is still practiced in Israel.
Yeshua and the disciples celebrated Sukkot (John 7:2-14) declaring on the last day of the feast of Tabernacles in the temple to the thousands who would have been in attendance, “If anyone is thirsty, let him come to Me and drink! He who believes in Me, as the Scripture has said, ‘From his innermost being will continually flow rivers of living water (Ethanim)’” (John 7:37-38).
Now, during Sukkot we celebrate that Yeshua promised He will never leave us nor forsake us and celebrate the everlasting waters He promised that day (The Holy Spirit) in us.
Shemini Aaretz, the last day of the Feast, we celebrate prophetically as the Bride of Yeshua entering the wedding in intimacy with the Bride Groom Yeshua.
Prophetically, we are celebrating The New Millennium to come when Yeshua reigns from Zion.(Zechariah 14:9,16-21 and Revelation 20:1-6).
It is also a time to remember the October 7th massacre when more than 1,700 Israelis were murdered, raped, tortured, and burned alive, as well as more than 100 Israelis kidnapped by Hamas terrorists only 2 years ago on one of the most holy days in Scripture and in Israel.
