This is Gad’s Moed
The birthday of a mighty warrior tribe of Israel is today! Gad exemplifies the state of preparedness we are meant to be in in the Body of Yeshua, and precisely how we are to walk out our faith. Gad knew they needed to be prepared for war due to Jacob’s prophecy over his son Gad, the progenitor of the tribe, which said, “As for Gad—a raiding troop shall raid him, but he shall raid at their heels and assault them [victoriously]” (Genesis 49:19).
If you know you are going to war, you prepare for war, and that’s just what they did. Look at how King David described the men of Gad who came to fight for him while in exile. “Courageous men from the Gadites came over to David in the stronghold in the wilderness, men trained for war, who could handle shield and spear, whose faces were like the faces of lions, and who were swift as gazelles on the mountains. These from the sons (descendants) of Gad were captains of the army; he who was least was equal to a hundred, and the greatest was equal to a thousand” (1 Chronicles 12:8,14).
That’s who I want fighting by my side. This is how the Body of Yeshua is being called to walk today, knowing that because we are at war with the fallen kingdom of darkness we must walk in the perfect love, authority, and power we have been gifted through the blood of Yeshua and the Holy Spirit. If we do not know we are at war, we don’t know we should prepare, but we do know, and it is time we arise and shine taking up our proper positions as the head and not the tail to stomp on the heads of snakes and scorpions reaping the greatest harvest the world has ever seen for the glory of God. Happy birthday Gad! Adonai bless you and keep you!
