Tammuz promises a month of heightened warfare in both the natural and the Spirit. You already knew that. However, it comes with a great promise of reward and victory—if we maintain the right heavenly outlook. Biblically, it is a time of horror for Israel, but also a time of great revival for the first believers in Yeshua as Messiah after Shavuot (Pentecost). Tammuz can be a roller coaster of confusion and complication—if we allow it to be. Yet it can also be a time, amidst the storm, when we are like Yeshua on the boat on the Sea of Galilee, able to walk in unwavering faith: “Be still and know that I Am God” (Psalm 46:10).

The war against Israel during this specific time begs the question: Is it the same old song and dance for Israel as we’ve seen throughout Scripture, or is this something new? And how should we be praying? A new generation is rising in many nations. I saw them in a vision as Tammuz began—like seeds baptized in fire. From June 27th to July 26th, the blueprint of God is being laid out and played out. We are being called to decide whether we will brave the wind and waves, confident in God’s plan during these days—or jump ship with little faith. The ball is in our court as we begin this Tammuz, and it’s time to choose whether we will be warriors of Shalom or succumb to anxiety and isolation.

Judgment and Repentance

The word Tammuz appears only once in the Bible, in Ezekiel 8:13, referencing the Israelites’ worship of false gods. “And you will know that I am the Lord, for you have not followed my decrees or kept my laws but have conformed to the standards of the nations around you” (Ezekiel 11:12). From the 17th of Tammuz (July 13th) to the 9th of Av (August 3rd), Jerusalem was besieged, and the temple offerings were halted—culminating in the destruction of both the First and Second Temples on the same day of the biblical calendar, nearly a millennium apart, due to Israel’s idolatry.

This period is now known as the Three Weeks of Sorrow, when Jews worldwide remember these tragedies through repentance, fasting, and prayer. Coincidentally, Tammuz 17 is also the day Moses descended from Mount Sinai and found Israel worshipping the golden calf—leading to the death of 3,000 idolaters. Rather than being grateful for God’s provision, the people sought the fake and the shiny, paying a high price. Now is not the time to trade truth for a multitude of lies and still expect blessing. The enemy is prowling like a roaring lion this Tammuz, and we must remain alert so as not to be deceived. As we discern and move with the wind of the Holy Spirit, remember: you are not alone.

Speak With One Another

Despite clear global spiritual warfare, the false lion seeks desperately to alienate God’s people—to make them feel alone, helpless, and unheard. Even though we know these are lies, the more we hear them, the more we begin to believe them. But when we stay grounded in God’s Word and in fellowship with other believers, we can avoid much deception and personal darkness.

We’ve all gone through things we’re ashamed of, things that should bring us closer in honesty and compassion—but too often, they isolate us further. Ask the Holy Spirit to reveal the root of what you’re going through. Ask the Father if there is someone—besides Himself—you can go to without fear of judgment or accusation, to process what you’re feeling and walk into healing, both in the natural and the Spirit. This healing allows you to fully step into your identity as the son or daughter He created you to be.
We are all on a journey of repentance, redemption, and inheritance. Let us not believe we were meant to walk it alone.

Inheritance Redeemed

Be spiritually curious. Ask the Holy Spirit why you feel the way you do. What is the root? How do I move forward practically in Your victory—and with whom? Pray that every believer in Israel and around the world be lifted from this satanic fog and exchange it for the clarity of heaven, the shalom of the Father, and the certainty that Yahweh is and always will be the King of kings

Walking in Supernatural Victory

On the 3rd of Tammuz, Adonai stopped the sun and moon at Joshua’s request, so they would have enough daylight to defeat their enemies (Joshua 10:13). Imagine the fear that swept over all who witnessed this act of God—and the trembling that shook both heaven and earth.

What does it look like to take possession of God’s promises in your life? Greater clarity of God’s vision for the future is what we need now more than ever during this Tammuz. It’s time to pray like Joshua—over our lives, families, nations, and over Israel. Joshua knew, without a shadow of doubt, that God had promised Israel the land of Canaan. Because of that clarity, he did not hesitate to pray for time itself to be extended so that God’s enemies would be completely defeated.

Likewise, Yahweh is calling us to take the fight to the fallen kingdom of darkness—both on personal and corporate levels—this biblical month. As we gain more clarity on God’s blueprint and on our identity in Yeshua, our prayer lives and our faith will take on a new and greater heavenly authority—not even granted to Joshua but granted to us through the blood of Yeshua. Our voices rise with confidence and clarity as we declare His Word in power. Heaven responds, and the nations shake at His judgments.

Uprooted, Planted, Fire Fall

At the beginning of Tammuz, I had a vision of the Philippines. I understood it as both a receiver of what is to come this month and as a prophetic example for many nations during this biblical season.

As I physically took off in an airplane, I saw in the Spirit a Lion with eagle’s talons pulling up fistfuls of dirt from the nation, creating large holes. Then, I saw seeds from heaven filling these holes across the earth. A rain of fire followed, activating the seeds, which began to grow both horizontally and vertically—forming an underground network of roots between the new trees. These brought healing to the land and immense stability to the towering treetops.

It reminded me of the Sequoia trees of Northern California. Each Giant Sequoia begins its life by fire. Its seed only germinates under intense heat. Just as we, sons of Light, are born again through baptism by water and fire, so too is the Sequoia (Matthew 3:11). As it grows, it develops natural immunity and resistance to pests, disease, and even severe forest fires. Its roots connect for miles, enabling constant communication between them.

The soil I saw the lion casting was loose and dry. But as the seeds took root and flourished, the dirt began to cling to the roots, gaining structure—able to withstand even earthquakes and flash floods.

This shaking, planting, and rain of fire are awakening a new generation across the nations—in places famous, infamous, and unknown. The question for us is: are we willing to be the seed—planted and burned?

May the fire of your destiny—and your nation’s destiny—be kindled and enlarged this Tammuz. May your seed and your soil be nourished in Yeshua, that you may fulfill your purpose now, in Yeshua’s mighty name!
