Pray for Canary Islands

A volcanic eruption on La Palma Island in Spain’s Canary Islands has sparked fears of a major global disaster.  So far around 5,000 people have been evacuated and lava flows have destroyed many homes.  The eruption is ongoing and could last for many more days and even weeks according to experts.  The real worry is the possibility of an escalation of the magnitude of the eruption that could potentially cause massive pieces of the island to fall into the ocean that would cause a tidal wave to reach the east coast of the United States and cause untold damage.

Some experts are skeptical about said claims while others are adamant of the impending danger if seismic activity along with the eruption suddenly kicks in causing the creation of a 25 meter or higher tidal wave to form.  Please pray for the people of La Palma, for this ongoing eruption to be monitored closely, and for any impending danger to be seen far in advance for any major evacuations that would need to take place swiftly and orderly.  Adonai bless you and keep you!
