Iyar: Fight or Flight, Time to Choose

As we entered into this new month, during a time of prayer I saw in a vision an open empty box with chains around it covering the opening, but with no lock. At first I was perplexed as it seemed to make no sense, but then the Holy Spirit gave some clarity. He said it represented empty promises and false narratives leading to a place of emptiness, loneliness and deception. But what does that have to do with Iyar? As it turns out, Iyar is the time when Israel on many occasions found themselves feeling lonely, empty, wondering if they had made the right decisions after all. From chains to freedom may sometimes not feel so freeing, and the lies of the enemy over your life and family are always deceiving made to entice us into a satanic lullaby all the while being none the wiser.

Iyar sets the record straight on that however, and the true victors of the Father, Yeshua and the Holy Spirit push past the lies and deceit and find out the true picture of themselves is a cup that overflows with the blessings and promises of God. This Iyar, may every lie, deception, plan and scheme of the fallen kingdom of darkness be null and void by the blood of Yeshua. May it be a month, that when obstacles arise and evil plans are devised that we harken to such a great opportunity, instead of backing down and backing up, we decide to trust that the Great I Am is bringing us through hostile territory not as punishment, but as preparation for the promised land still to come.

Who Is I Am?

This month in the Exodus the entirety of Exodus 15 to 18 plays out in outstanding fashion as God reveals Himself to Israel like never before in history up to that point, and He is doing that for us today as well if we choose to take the step out of Egypt (old mindset) and into the promised land (co-heirs with Yeshua). On this journey He is forcing us to understand that from Him are all things and for HIs children He provides all and more than we expected is needed. During Iyar Yahweh reveals Himself differently 4 separate times to Israel as YHWH RAPHA (The Lord Who Heals You), YHWH YIR’EI (The Lord Our Provider), YHWH ROHI (The Lord Our Shepherd), and YHWH NISSI (The Lord Our Banner). Each time, Adonai is proving Himself to His would be bride that He can take care of her and nurture her unlike any other false god that they had before them in Egypt.

He is walking Israel down the aisle so to speak and just like before a traditional Jewish wedding the Katubah (wedding vows) are being written and unlike fallen man proven to be true every time. Yeshua is reminding us of His wedding vows to His bride over our lives this month, asking if we remember all that He has done, but also reminding us of the great promises that are still to come. This month, Yeshua is shattering false thinking, unraveling misleading paradigms, and tearing down the veils of deception over your life! He is revealing Himself to you in ways He never has before, and the enemy is terrified of you walking in this new understanding.

I Tried to Tell You, Time to Listen

During the month of Iyar, Yeshua appeared many times to His disciples over the 40 day period after His resurrection, revealing Himself both physically to them, but also throughout Scripture from Exodus all the way through the books of the Prophets. He appeared at their lowest moments, even hiding His identity at times, and almost always gathering with them over a meal. Just as in Israel’s time in the wilderness He was revealing Himself once again reassuring them and preparing them for what was to come and His eventual return for His bride. He spoke to Israel many times trying to tell them what was to come and Yeshua to the disciples on multiple occasions that He was not leaving them or forsaking them so that in times of untold struggle and never before seen hardships and heart break to never forget that He is not one to lie, and for us to never doubt His promises.

This Iyar is a month of visitation and preparation for the Jubilee day that is on its way. As we remember the counting of the Omer which happens every day of this month in remembrance of the manna given to Israel in the wilderness, of the reaping of the harvest, and the bread, the body of Yeshua that was broken for us, we count down the days until Shavuot (Pentecost). Just as the Jubilee year is every fiftieth year, 7 X 7 years, so to do we count 7 X 7 weeks in the run up to Shavuot. Iyar is the only Biblical month where each and every day this is done, making it especially significant as the jubilee of weeks (Shavuot) draws nearer. Position yourself for your encounters with Yahweh this month, be ready and expectant of new revelation that prepares you for this new season ahead, and remember the promises of Yeshua that He has fulfilled through the baptism of the Holy Spirit not to neglect the very Spirit of God within you who knows the very thoughts of the Father. Just like the women at the empty tomb of Yeshua, be ready for angelic encounters this Iyar, and if people don’t believe you when it happens let Yeshua Himself be the one to break the news to them while you give glory to God in the presence of HIs heavenly hosts.

Undeterred Faith, Time to Move

In case you haven’t seen the news lately or been blind to the changes happening around the world, it is a time of unprecedented change on ao global scale setting as always the stage for the fulfillment of Biblical prophecy. However, it is not to be distracted by fantastical events, but rather locked into the will of the Father first and foremost to give us the right frame of reference as to what we are seeing. Entire regions, countries, cities, families, and the lost 1% need the gatekeepers and watchmen to arise to see the blindfold of deception removed en mass and the yoke of burden to be removed. The angel armies of YHWH are waiting for the sons and daughters of God to agree with, declare and decree that which has already been bound and loosed in heaven (Matthew 16:19) in order for the hosts of heaven to be dispatched. It is time to align with the books of heaven for this time, to partner with the angel armies and the will of the Eternal from the victory of Yeshua and by the leading of the Holy Spirit. This is the moment of the Joshuas and Caleb’s who refused to back away from God’s promises despite what they saw before them, and those like “the one who Yeshua loved” who accompanied Him upon His capture in the Garden of Gethsemane while the rest fled in fear and disavowed The Savior of the World.

Will you be like the majority who heard the report of the spies returning from Canaan, or the majority of the disciples who suddenly forgot all that Yeshua had done and said? Or, despite the intensity of your current situations or circumstances decide to side with God of Israel Who brought Israel through the desert, and was raised form the dead on the third day. The call has gone forth, the eagle has landed and delivered the message. Receive it, or don’t this Iyar, but know that God is speaking to you now, even if that means just taking even one small step forward, because doing so will create ripples of blessing across the globe for the Kingdom of God. Just one time standing when others will not, will bring at least one or many more to know the freedom in Yeshua that you know and have, the perfect love of the Father that is indescribable, as well as the counsel, guidance and wisdom of the Holy Spirit. One small step for man in Yeshua causes one giant leap for mankind to know Him too. Thank you also for continuing to pray for the peace of Jerusalem and the salvation of Israel.
