Counterfeit Holy Spirit and Witchcraft Revealed

Just days ago in Israel a convocation of hundreds of witches, warlocks and practitioners of the occult was held for the reason of bringing Israel back together and for peace to be had after more than 7 months of war. Sounds good, but the means make all the difference. A warning is being issued to the body of Yeshua during this month of Iyar, and it is time we pay close attention. For those who adhere to Satan worship and other occult practices, there is such a thing as good and evil practicers of witchcraft, but the reality is all forms of witchcraft and magic are bad no matter the intention.

For such a group of people to come together in Israel so openly goes to show that we as watchmen on the walls, intercessors and disciples of Yeshua, need to be alert and intentional regarding praying for the protection and salvation of Israel. It is not only to pray against those who are doing such things but also for their salvation as well as for the protection over believers in Yeshua who knowingly or unknowingly participate in spiritual warfare regarding this and other such groups. The danger is real when not fully aware of what we are getting involved in and are up against.

Why now, and the strange fire still to come?

On May 25-26 the Jewish holiday of Lag be Omer will be celebrated here in Israel. It is a public holiday that seems to have no bad intentions, but the reality is far from it. We are currently in the middle of the counting of the Omer which starts on Pesach (Passover) and ends on Shavuot (Pentecost) when Moses received the Ten Commandments on Mount Sinai and when the 120 received the Holy Spirit in the upper room in Jerusalem (Acts 1:15-26). This current time is also the time when Yeshua after His resurrection showed Himself to His disciples and many others telling them to wait for the giving of the Holy Spirit in Jerusalem just ten days after ascending to the right hand of the Father (John 14:15-31). It is a critical time for the global body of Yeshua, especially in Israel. The enemy knows this and wishes to hijack the moment for the purposes of Satan, and as we often are unaware of the times and the seasons we are complicit in allowing it to happen.

This occult gathering took place from May 16, the 23rd day of the counting of the Omer, to May 18th. The next occultic and satanic holiday/event will be on May 25-26, the 33rd day of the counting of the Omer, which is the Jewish holiday of Lag be Omer. It is a seemingly innocent holiday on the Jewish calendar, but in spiritual terms that is far from the truth, and reason to be on guard and praying from the victory of Yeshua and with wisdom during this run up to Shavuot (Pentecost).

In Jewish tradition, the 33rd day of the Omer Count is regarded as a holiday that commemorates the death of Rabbi Shimon bar Yochai (i.e, Rashbi: רשב”י), the most famous disciple of Rabbi Akiva (50-135 AD). According to mystical tradition, on the day of his death, bar Yochai revealed the deepest secrets of the Torah which were later codified as the Zohar (“Splendor”), a key text of Kabbalah (Jewish mysticism). The 33rd day of the Omer Count is therefore commemorated as the anniversary of the giving of the “hidden Torah” (Torat Ha-Nistar) to Israel, or as the anniversary of the revelation of Kabbalah. Among Jewish mystics, Lag B’Omer is regarded equal to the importance of the holiday of Shavuot which celebrates the giving of the written Torah to Moses although the text is satanically inspired.

On this day hundreds of thousands of Jews gather at Mount Meron to pray and celebrate the Kabbalah. Mount Meron is the suspected burial place of bar Yochai. Bon fires are lit throughout Israel to celebrate and commemorate this day in a literal time of worshipping the deceased and the revelation of the Zohar and Kabbalah. One of those being remembered on this day is also Rabbi Akiva, who falsely stated that Simon bar Kochba was the Messiah leading to the deaths of 24,000 of his students in the last revolt against the Roman Empire and the end of Israel as an independent state shortly after the death and resurrection of Yeshua.

Importance of the Counting of the Omer Today

While the focus has been on what the enemy is doing during this important 50 days between Pesach and Shavuot, the real focus must be God’s faithfulness in the outpouring of the Holy Spirit. While the Jewish people mourn during this time, it is our time to rejoice even and especially amidst times of trouble and struggle here in Israel and elsewhere. This is a call to you for now. Romans 5:3-4 says, “And not only this, but [with joy] let us exult in our sufferings and rejoice in our hardships, knowing that hardship (distress, pressure, trouble) produces patient endurance; and endurance, proven character (spiritual maturity); and proven character, hope and confident assurance [of eternal salvation]. Such hope [in God’s promises] never disappoints us, because God’s love has been abundantly poured out within our hearts through the Holy Spirit who was given to us.

Joy, rejoice, endurance, spiritual maturity, proven character, eternal salvation, hope, God’s promises, God’s love poured out, the Holy Spirit given. This is the season we are in despite the noise and cacophony of the fallen kingdom of darkness. Soak it it in like a sponge and reject the lies of the enemy like pork from the hands of a kosher person. We see the movement of the enemy, but we move at the behest of the King of glory who is not deterred nor reacts to the movements of the fallen kingdom of darkness. The enemy reacts to God’s movements, so as sons and daughters of God, we should be asking ourselves, are we reacting or proactive as watchmen on the wall? We watch the news, we see world events and we are living in Israel witnessing what is happening, but what is God saying for now and ahead? We are a people born from above, so what is the news from above, what has been bound and loosed from our new home seated with Yeshua at the right hand of the Father (Colossians 3:1-14)? Which world are we more enthralled with and captivated by?

On Earth as it is in Heaven

Lets rejoice with the right understanding which is to see the fulfillment of his WORD, not losing hope by what we see around us, but standing on His promises just as the disciples of Yeshua waited eagerly for the Spirit of God. It sounds nice in words, but in your life what does it look like in your everyday? You are a son, a daughter, a friend, a warrior, forgiven, loved, bought and paid for by the blood of Yeshua, and have been given the keys of the kingdom to bind and loose what has already been bound and loosed in heaven here on earth, no longer a citizen of your country, but a citizen of heaven. As we traverse this time of the counting of the Omer, remember who you are now, not who you were and be eager to do as the Lord of hosts is calling you to do, pray, bind and loose for such a time as this, not only for yourself and by yourself but with the Body of Yeshua by the leading of the Holy Spirit. Do not be rattled by the enemy, but rather excited in the love of the Father, salvation and empowerment through Yeshua, and by the Leading of the Holy Spirit.

Here in Israel and around the world satanists and occultists have been gathering, and Lag B’Omer is just a couple of days away when the dead will be celebrated and worshipped here in Israel, but our focus must be from heaven down and not distracted by the deceptions and foolduggery of the fallen kingdom of darkness. As John heard and obeyed from the King of kings, “Come up here” (Revelation 4:1-3) it is the call for now and always, so we pray that the distractions, reactions, and pull of the world and the fallen kingdom of darkness will have no pull over your actions, your prayers, and your relationships any longer during this counting of the Omer, and for a new revelation directly from the Father for such a time as this.
