The Dixie Fire in northern California has spread to more than 550,000 acres across four counties and was 31 percent contained as of Sunday morning, according to Cal Fire. The blaze is now the largest on record in the United States pushing to second place the Bootleg Fire in Oregon, which the authorities said on Sunday was 100 percent contained after ravaging more than 400,000 acres since early July.

More than 1000 buildings and businesses have been destroyed with another 15000 in its path. With scorching temperatures and very high wind it is difficult to predict and contain and brings a high possibility of more fires starting in separate locations. Please pray for the thousands of brave men and women fighting these fires and all of those who have been affected.

Pray for heavy rains as well because the dry heat and high winds feed the flames of this record breaking wildfire. Let it rain in the name of Yeshua!
