Kislev: The Light of the World
C'est le mois de David. se lever et briller into purpose despite being looked over and downtrodden, forgotten and written off as one who would always amount to mediocre or less than. You may have a good life in your eyes or a bad one, you may have been built up by others or feel very alone, but either way it is easy to bound in personal grief for our shortcomings, or feel as though you have no one at all. The King of kings knows and is calling you closer still to Him. Your personal secrets not spoken to others which have bound you to your current trajectory in life are known to God, but now is the moment for your fears and doubts to fade away as your focus becomes crystal clear and your eyes fall upon the throne of glory, upon Yeshua Himself.
Old grudges and hatreds dissipate into the winds of His perfect love. What once hindered you and was your crutch, Yahweh is molding and sharpening into your greatest weapon of war against the fallen kingdom of darkness, into your greatest olive branch of shalom, hope and love to those people He sets before you. You are not a lone wolf, as there is no such thing in the great company of heaven and with direct access to and relationship to the Father, Yeshua and the Holy Spirit. You are part of a pack, a family working together as One, and you are not alone but of such great importance to the Father that He created you in His own image.
“Look at the birds of the air, for they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they? Which of you by worrying can add one cubit to his stature? Consider the lilies, how they grow: they neither toil nor spin; and yet I say to you, even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. If then God so clothes the grass, which today is in the field and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, how much more will He clothe you, O you of little faith?” (Matthew 6:26-29). Stand on His promises this Kislev and declare them out loud in utter assurance, confidence and trust that He is and will always come through for you as we come into agreement with His perfect love for each of us.
Kislev : le temps de briller
I see ancient boxes unlocking, many tides turning, sons and daughters arising and the plans of the enemy burning, and the waters of judgement churning, loyalties tested, and old foes bested causing those happily nested to flock to the skies where they previously learned where true rest lies. On the winds not on the rocks or in the trees we are shown God’s reality, not only to soar, but also to dive in obedience to the enemy’s demise. This Kislev many will be forced to fly.
Ce Kislev, as we spend time perched in the presence of the Most High, as we are given dreams, visions, blueprints and strategies and spoken to in many ways by the Father, Yeshua and the Holy Spirit, it is not only to write it down and speak it out, but to act personally and corporately in one accord. Whether we choose to be seated or absent from the table of Yeshua this month will be the deciding factor of our breakthrough, and the enemy will try to make you believe you are not worthy of such a seat, and make you want to eat of another fruit and drink from the bottle of deception, but now is the time at this moment of testing to stand like the mighty man of David named Shammah in the lentil field defeating the Phillistine army after the others fled (2 Samuel 23:11-12). Retreat and defeat are words for the fallen kingdom of darkness to brandish frequently this Kislev while we rise above the noise and lies into the light of God where such words do not exist.
Religiosity is being rebuked like no other time before this month just as Zechariah rebuked Israel while in exile in Persia, a warning of God’s disappointment with Israel’s religiosity during the 70 years of exile in Persia, warning them not to repeat the sinful ways that had led them into exile in the first place (Zechariah 7). As citizens of heaven the only leader or king that sways our decisions is the King of kings, Yahweh, and despite all that is changing in the world for better or worse He is calling us to have ears to hear clearly His voice whether it be an order, encouragement, rebuke, or advice and to have ears to see how He does things in order to bring it on earth as it is in heaven. First Him and then them is the order and unlike the Israelites in exile, not just in words and for show, but from one’s heart. May we rain down like arrows from heaven this Kislev victoriously bringing the light to the darkness.
Chanukah: Festival of Lights (Dec. 15-21)
Pendant Kislev Yeshua entered the city of Jerusalem and revealed Himself plainly to the people in Zion that He was indeed the savior, the Messiah they had been waiting for, and during Hanoucca, la fête des lumières of all times to do so (John 10:22). He introduced Himself as the Good Shepherd and Savior, and was nearly stoned for it had He not escaped. The eyes of the people could not see Who He really was even after all of the miracles He had done to prove He was indeed the Messiah and yet He continued to do what the Father sent Him to do. As we celebrate this Festival of Lights during Kislev, we also remember never to be dismayed at those who do not receive Yeshua as Mashiach and to always stay true to what the Father, Yeshua, and the Holy Spirit have called us to in this life. Do not be dismayed or halted by those who do not see Yeshua in you or understand the calling He has over your life. And do not be surprised if you falter based on the words and actions of others if you are not yet clear on who He says you are as His son/daughter, servant, friend, priest, king, queen and bride. Do you know who He says you are? Have you asked? Do you remember?
Darkness is all around us here in Israel and in every part of the globe, not just in war, famine, poverty etc. but personally, a darkness that wishes to encroach upon our hearts and will, a place of intimacy no one truly knows except the Father. While the enemy wants to steal kill and destroy us personally, the Father wants to flood us with His light, love and power which is readily at hand for the taking, a gift freely given through the blood of Yeshua, and this Kislev is the time to seize it in full! The enemy flees before the light and if not fast enough gets burned. May you who are called the light of the world and the salt of the earth make the darkness regret the day that it thought it could sway your mind, feet and hands from being a true follower of the Way (Acts 19:23). The Light shines in the darkness and the darkness has not overcome it (John 1:5). What others say we are and are not does not cause our Light, Yeshua, to flicker or fade within us, nor do our recent sins and transgressions repented for, and Chanukah is a reminder not only of the great faith of the Israelites of the past which brought about victory over a far superior foe, but also the boldness of Yeshua that we carry which allows us to speak Truth and walk it out even in the most hostile of environments causing blindness to flee and and the sting of death to fade completely.
As we celebrate Yeshua this Chanukah remember the 7 Spirits of God in Isaiah 11:2. “Just as The Spirit of the Lord shall rest upon Him, The Spirit of wisdom and understanding, The Spirit of counsel and might, The Spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the Lord.” May He who holds the Seven Spirits of God (Revelation 3:1) bless you in your time of celebration.
Caractère et famille du Royaume
« Comme le fer aiguise le fer, ainsi un homme aiguise [et influence] un autre homme » (Proverbs 27:17). Kislev is the month referred to as the month of dreams as it is the time we read in the Word of God the story of Joseph who journeyed from brother and son to slave, and eventually 2nd in command in all of Egypt. Joseph the dreamer and interpreter of dreams shows us the real meaning of iron sharpening iron this month, and it is not always through words of encouragement and support from our fellow brothers and sisters. It is a much harder reality than having a couple of nice talks with one another or a meal or two together, but rather a test of ones metal through trial and tribulation and equally so through successes and excesses. While we do indeed need one another as we are all different parts of the body of Yeshua, we must not make the excuse of not always having true kingdom family readily at hand. We sharpen one another, yes, but if we are not willing to get on the wheel of the Potter then we sharpen uselessly, guaranteed to lose our edge. « Tu es notre Père ; nous sommes l’argile, et tu es notre potier, et nous sommes tous l’ouvrage de tes mains. » (Isaïe 64:8). L'appel au tour de potier intime est à portée de main, comment allez-vous y répondre ?
How many times has the betrayal of someone, the smearing of ones character, or the fall of another in sin been the catalyst or excuse to stray away from walking with God? Or to see those with great wealth and influence use it for evil make you falter in your walk, or you yourself begin to fall off the path due to wealth and success? Whatever season each of us are in right now, we must all be willing to put ourselves voluntarily and readily upon the Potter’s wheel first, so that as we have one on one time with Him, no matter the people in our lives and what they say and do, or our circumstances and situations, we allow them to mold us into the image of God instead of push Him away and back into the way of the fallen kingdom of darkness. You are a son or daughter of your Father in heaven, and through Yeshua and by the leading of the Holy Spirit we are refined, molded and guided according to His will and He Himself introduces us to the Kingdom family we never knew we had. May the heart of the Father be your pillow this Kislev and may you cherish those who truly sharpen you and hone you into the mighty weapon of God He has created you to be this Kislev.
Conclusion
Never lose hope, no matter your situation or circumstance, no matter how dire or hopeless things might seem, and when God blesses you abundantly continue in awestruck reverence of the Great I Am, your Provider. The God of Salvation is using even your enemies to bless you even as the very slavers and prison guards of Joseph did, and is turning them against one another as we speak. We must never expect things to play out the way we want them to or imagine they will, but seek to understand and ask for the mysteries of God’s plans to be revealed in this month of dreams. C'est votre mois de percée pour Joseph, and Yahweh has called you and made you for these dark times to be a great light for and with those you love and those who hate you. Countless testimonies in Scripture and all around us testify to God always making a way when there seems to be no way, and this month will take Joshua and Caleb courage to cross into that destiny remembering God is going with you.
Vous ne le savez peut-être pas pour le moment comment écraser les ennemis as great as giants or breach the massive walls of the many cities, but it doesn’t matter if the Light Himself is with you and the promised victory has already been won. There are giants in the land these days and many of us are feeling we are in the 9th hour, even entire nations, but Yahweh of Hosts never loses. We don’t worry about the how, He’s got that covered, but continue to be bold and courageous in the face of what seems like outstanding odds, firm in our understanding that that the odds are actually clearly stacked against the enemy who is standing against Yawheh, the Creator of heaven and earth. The bigger the obstacle, the greater the miracle and the harder the giants fall. Préparez-vous à voir ces miracles au cours de ce 9e mois pour vous, votre famille, vos amis, vos entreprises, vos villes et vos nations.
Prières, déclarations et décrets personnels
Possibilité d'agir
Père, this month Nehemiah received the devastating news of the state of Jerusalem and was deeply grieved, but you saw it as a grand opportunity for Nehemiah to rise to the occasion and be the instrument for its reconstruction (Neh. 1-2). This Kislev, I decree that any situation which seems impossible or grievous to me, I decide to see it as a monumental opportunity for You to use me however you see fit to make the impossible look easy as my faith will not falter, but only grow stronger knowing if you are with me nothing can stand against me.
Persévérance, Révélation, Promotion
El Shaddaï, c'est le mois des rêves when we read all of the dreams and dream interpretations of Joseph. Through the greatest hardships Joseph stayed true to You, King of kings, unfalteringly. With every personal revelation and interpretation of a dream he always gave you the glory for it, and in the most unlikely of circumstances, was promoted to the ruler of all Egypt in less than a day (Genesis 41:37-57). This month, I decree that I will persevere with gratitude and joy knowing you are preparing me and my family for our future. I declare and decree that in all revelation I receive I will give credit and glory to Whom it is due, You. I know that Your preparation for my promotion will be complete when you say it is, and when the moment comes for that promotion I will not falter in saying yes knowing I am ready enough for You, and You are trusting me to trust You to see it through.
Sagesse
Yahvé, this month Jeremiah had his scribe write on a scroll what you spoke to him and had his scribe read it in Your very temple and even to the king, only to have it burned and Jeremiah hunted only to be hidden by your hand (Jer. 36:1-26). Father give me wisdom and conviction in how to say what you have spoken to me to say to others whether it be in revelation, in rebuke, or blessing, just as you gave Jeremiah wisdom not to go in person to Jerusalem to release your Word, knowing it would have led to his untimely death.
Le pardon
Great I Am, After Jospeh was sold into slavery by his own brothers (Genesis 37:18-36) and many years later reunited with them with the power to punish them as he pleased, he instead wept loudly for joy after revealing himself to them in complete forgiveness, saying to them, « Mais Dieu m’a envoyé devant vous pour garder vos familles en vie et pour vous sauver de cette manière merveilleuse. En effet, ce n’est pas vous qui m’avez envoyé ici, c’est Dieu. Il m’a établi à la tête de la cour du roi et m’a établi sur toute l’Égypte. » (Genesis 45:4-8). King of glory, Your ways are mysterious, but never without divine purpose, and therefore this Kislev, I declare that all of those who have wronged me in the past, You had and have a reason for it. If you allowed such things to happen to Joseph, you have allowed them for me as well, an opportunity to forgive and understand that without forgiveness I will be blind to Your divine purpose for it. Father give me Your heart to love and forgive, and your eyes to see where You are taking me. In Yeshua’s mighty name I pray, amen!
Que Yahweh vous bénisse et vous garde, Famille du Royaume !
