Speculation, rumor, mis-information, and politicization have been the backdrop of the Trump Administration’s highly secretive Middle East Peace Deal that has been dubbed the “The Deal of the Century”. It will be yet another plan to broker a solution to the so called Palestinians (Arabs living in Judea and Samaria) and the state of Israel. There has been speculation on many major news channels of the leaking of certain portions of the deal by unverified sources. In these leaks, it is said that the plan calls for a two state solution, which has lead to the shock of many Believers, with calls to pray for the failure of the deal, citing this as evidence of the impending fulfillment of Joel 3:1-2. Naphtali Bennet, the head of the newly created “New Right Party” recently remarked to the media on live TV that a two state solution was indeed part of the proposed Deal of the Century. This has led to even further criticism of the deal by even more people who strongly oppose a two state solution. So is it true?

Fact, Fiction, or Not a Clue?

This prompted us to delve deeper into the facts of the matter, because we have been receiving reports on this from multiple people we trust. It turns out that these “facts” are actually nothing but mere speculation and rumors. No one except a very very small group of people has even seen the deal, Naphtali Bennett not among them. It just so happens that his comments, based on rumor, happen to fit the agenda of his party that greatly benefits from the votes of those who are against a two state solution, which is the platform of The New Right Party. The Media also benefits greatly by spreading these rumors.

What we do know about the deal is what Jared Kushner, the man in charge of the creation of the Deal of the Century, has made public. The deal is described as being focused heavily on the economic plight of people living in contested areas in a bid to help them live a prosperous life. Kushner has toured six different Middle Eastern Nations speaking to their leaders about how they would be willing to contribute economically in the proposed deal, with apparent success. Before even knowing the parameters of the deal, PLA president Mahmoud Abbas refused to negotiate. This prompted Kushner to say that the plan would likely be released to the public regardless and that the PLA leadership is “scared we will release our peace plan and the Palestinian people will actually like it”. So what would a peace plan look like that leadership would not like, but the people would? Nikki Haley, the former U.S. Ambassador to the U.N. even said after seeing the plan for herself that moving forward to negotiations and peace “will need leaders with real vision to do it.” She also added that the document has things both sides will like and both sides will dislike.

Other recent activity in Israel was also suspicious to us, like the recent announcement by Benjamin Netanyahu of an “expansion of Jewish settlements in the occupied “Palestinian” territories through constructing more than 20,000 new houses in East Jerusalem in the next five years”. If there was to be a two sate solution in the Deal of the Century that was discussed with Prime Minister Netanyahu why would they continue to build within the boundaries of what would no longer be Israel at the agreement of a two state solution? On March 18 Netanyahu also hailed the beginning of construction of 840 housing units in Ariel, the site of the recent terror attack that killed an Israeli soldier and a Rabbi. On top of that, a two state solution would also lead to the strengthening and legitimacy of the terrorist organization Hamas which runs contrary to the goal of peace. The facts on the ground just don’t add up to the hype for the supposed two state solution that the Deal of the Century supposedly proposes. The fact is, no one knows what the Deal of the Century is except for those who have read it. We cannot pray based on speculation and here-say, but we can pray based on what the Word of God tells us about the times we are living in. So what exactly are those times?

What does the Bible Say?

Scripture tells us nothing of the split of Israel in the end times, not even when the tribulation comes. The Bible does tell us however, that the current borders of Israel are actually much smaller than God’s promised inheritance to Abraham (Genesis 15:18), meaning that land will not be taken from Israel, but rather added. We also know that we are living in the fulfillment of two very crucial prophecies. One being the fulfillment of Jeremiah 31:20-40 that speaks of the return of Ephraim, the Jews, to Israel that had been scattered across the earth. Isaiah 19:23-24, also speaks of a “highway from Egypt to Assyria, and the Assyrians will come into Egypt and the Egyptians into Assyria; and the Egyptians will worship and serve [the Lord] with the Assyrians. In that day Israel will be the third party with Egypt and with Assyria, a blessing in the midst of the earth.” It is not the separation of Israel that we are about to witness, but rather the activation of the Isaiah 19 highway that will see both Arabs and Jews worshipping the Lord together! We are seeing the beginning of the reunification of Issac and Ishmael, the sons of Abraham, that has been made possible through the death and resurrection of Yeshua the Messiah, the salvation of both the Jew and the gentile. Acts 1:8 says, “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.” Judea and Samaria are the contested areas in the Israel right now that people refer to as Palestine, but it was Judea and Samaria that were two of the first three places Believers went to preach the Gospel. Of course the fallen kingdom of darkness wants to separate them, but it shall not come to pass for the Bible tells me so.

How to Pray

During this very crucial time it is important that we pray for the upcoming elections in Israel that will be held on April 9, but also for the fulfillment of Jeremiah 31:20-40 and the Isaiah 19 highway. There is currently a push against current Prime Minister Netanyahu by a coalition of parties with no other agenda than to oust him as the next Prime Minister. Join with us to pray that such a ploy does not work, as it would spell disaster and confusion in the leadership of Israel. Also, join with us in a call to Ephraim still scattered in the nations to return, and the acceleration of the Isaiah 19 Highway. Lastly, pray that the “Deal of the Century” will be a catalyst, not a hinderance to the fulfillment of Biblical prophecy. We will be doing a one day fast the day before the feast of Purim that celebrates the victory of the Jews against certain annihilation as written in the book of Esther. From tomorrow Tuesday the 19th at 6:00 PM and until Wednesday the 20th at 6:00PM, will be the length of the fast. Please join us in earnest intercession, prayer and fasting regarding these issues.
