Both famous and infamous, the city we are praying for this week is both a technological and startup hub of the world, the financial capital, but also the party capitol of the Middle East. Tel Aviv<\/strong>, meaning Hill of Spiring was originally known as Jaffa or as you will like see it in the Bible, Joppa.<\/em> <\/strong>It is an ancient port dating back before even Israel took the promised land, and its prophetic destiny is truly staggering and beautiful. It is the same place that Peter stayed at the the House of Simon the Tanner,<\/em> where he received the vision that gave him permission to preach the Gospel to the gentiles (Acts 10:5-15)<\/em>. It was shortly after this that Peter arrived to Caesaria and the Holy Spirit fell on the gentiles as he spoke to them (Acts 10:44)<\/em>. Even more magnificent, if there could be such a thing, is the miracle that Peter did in Jaffa when he raised Tabitha from the dead.<\/strong><\/p>\n\t<\/div>\r\n<\/div>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

\u201cBut Peter sent them all out [of the room] and knelt down and prayed; then turning to the body he said, \u201cTabitha, arise!\u201d<\/strong> And she opened her eyes, and when she saw Peter, she sat up. And he gave her his hand and helped her up; and then he called in the saints (God\u2019s people) and the widows, and he presented her [to them] alive\u201d (Acts 9:40-41).<\/em><\/p>\n\t<\/div>\r\n<\/div>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

A city of supernatural visions<\/strong> and resurrection to Jew and gentile alike is the destiny of Tel Aviv, yet the fallen kingdom of darkness has tried to spoil said destiny. While many people see Tel Aviv as a modern day Sodom and Gemmorah, what is the Father\u2019s heart for the city<\/em><\/strong>? It is not a city of deplorables, but rather prodigals ready to come back to the Father!<\/strong> As we pray for Tel Aviv let us declare Abba\u2019s will over the city and pray for its imminent salvation in Yeshua\u2019s Name.
