This week in Israel (May 13-14), were both historic and crucial to the future of Israel, Jerusalem, and the world. Historic in the sense that in Iyar 20, was the first day that Israel moved out tribe by tribe in formation after building the Tabernacle in the wilderness. It was also the 72nd anniversary of Independence of Israel and two years since the United States moved the embassy to Jerusalem. Crucial because two days ago Mike Pompeo, the Secretary of State of the United States, made his first overseas trip since the outset of Covid-19 to Jerusalem. As Jerusalem is the prophetic clock of Adonai, what was discussed during his visit is of paramount importance not just for Israel, but for the nations as well. The annexation of Judea and Samaria, China, and Iran were the main topics discussed, and you can bet those topics will also have a massive effect on geopolitics in the coming days, weeks, and months. As the annexation of Judea and Samaria brings us closer to the fulfillment of Ezekiel 36 and the restoration of Israel, Iran and its proxies like Hezbollah in Lebanon, as well as Hamas, and the Islamic Jihad in Gaza are threatening a third Intifada to try and pressure Israel by threat of mass murder that they should not go ahead with it. Meanwhile, as Israel regains its territory and celebrates its sovereignty, China threatens to wile its way into owning major swaths of Israel through the acquisition of companies, major technological deals, and the ownership and control over Israel’s main port in Haifa. So while Israel is enjoying its status as the world’s 8th most powerful nation in the world, is time to be alert.
