As we have been praying for Israel from the far West of Indonesia on an Island known as the porch of Mecca, a stronghold of Islam for more than 600 years, we have been feeling a sense of urgency in the spirit to pray not only for the redemptive purpose of this land, but especially for Eretz Israel.  In a vision while praying, we saw the place we were like the tip of an arrow followed by the rest of Indonesia hitting Judea and Samaria. It was not an arrow of destruction, but one of the Gospel of Peace. It was further confirmation to us that Abba will use Indonesia as a force to bring the gospel to the Middle East and Israel.  Impossible?  Not for the King of the Universe.  Now, after having done research of the current situation in Israel, we are better understanding the urgency we felt from the Father to pray for Zion, “The place He has chosen for His habitation” (Psalm 132:13) and the crucial role of Judea and Samaria in these end times.  This is what we have found and discerned in order for us to pray with understanding.

In Acts 1:8 Yeshua’s last words to His disciples before ascending says, “But you will receive power and ability when the Holy Spirit comes upon you; and you will be My witnesses [to tell people about Me] both in Jerusalem and in all Judea, and Samaria, and even to the ends of the earth.” If that is the case the end must indeed be near, but what about Judea and Samaria, known otherwise as the West Bank, and Jerusalem?

Paul gives us a key revelation in Romans 11:25 that we must understand about these end times, and why the end is near but not yet come. “I do not want you, believers, to be unaware of this mystery [God’s previously hidden plan]—so that you will not be wise in your own opinion—that a partial hardening has [temporarily] happened to Israel [to last] until the full number of the Gentiles has come in;”

It seems for the most part that the gospel has been preached to the ends of the earth, and one might argue to some degree that the full number of gentiles has come in, but what about the Jews?  If the Gospel has gone to the end of the earth, it must return through Judea and Samaria and back to Jerusalem.  In that case, Judea and Samaria are like the eastern gates back to Jerusalem.

In conjunction with the ongoing political turmoil in Israel, something else, perhaps even more important than the political deadlock is happening. The Knesset, even now has introduced a bill for the official annexation of Judea and Samaria, two of the most geographically strategic places in Israel.  It is from the mountains of Judea and Samaria, as well as the Golan Heights that Israel’s enemies are kept on notice and at bay from attacking.

This bill comes on the heels of an announcement by the U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo saying that the U.S. government does not consider Israeli settlements illegal by international law in Judea and Samaria, effectively paving the way for the bill to be pushed through without issue.

PLA President Mahmoud Abbas seems to think the bill will also be pushed through, though with quite the opposite reaction, as he has said “We maintain the right to defend our rights and achieve our goals through all available means regardless of the consequences,” Abbas said, according to a report by the state-run Wafa news agency.   The PA further “demanded” that “the masses of the Palestinian people in the homeland and everywhere act in order to thwart the plot to eliminate the Palestinian cause.” In other words, war.

Very similar statements were made during the 1st Intifada 1987-1993 where more than 200 Israelis were murdered and the 2015-2016 knife Intifada that killed 40 people.

Coincidentally, just days later the European Court of Justice passed a resolution saying Judea and Samaria are exempt from Boycotts against Israeli products because according to the (ECJ) Judea and Samaria are not part of Israel, but rather “Palestine”.  “There are over 200 ongoing territorial disputes across the world, yet the ECJ has not rendered a single ruling related to the labelling of products originating from these territories”, in an obvious show of support for the West Bank rather than Israel.  The EU almost unanimously agrees with and supports the BDS (Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions) movement against Israel.  Through this it is easy to see the local and international lines that have formed.

What about the position of the Middle East leaders? On November 19-20, 30 public figures from 15 Arab countries came together to oppose the BDS (Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions) movement against Israel, calling for direct civil relations between their nations and Israel, a monumental shift in the policies of traditionally pro-palestine nations.  This was yet again unprecedented in the last 4 decades of relations between Israel and their Arab neighbors.

Prime Minister Netanyahu has now been officially indicted on criminal charges with the ability to fight said charges in court.  The country is deeply divided in both defense of and opposition for Netanyahu with opposing protests and rallies taking place across the country.  Meanwhile his opponent Benny Gantz has failed to form a coalition government as promised. There is now a three week period of time before another election would be inevitable in which Gideon Sa’ar, a rival politician in Netanyahu’s own Likud party has called for a party primary in which a new leader of the party would be chosen, in his bid to be the new Likud leader.  Gideon Sa’ar has said he is more than capable of putting together a coalition government, but we will only know that if there is a Likud Party Primary in the next two weeks to decide.  These coming weeks are more crucial than ever to see whether or not the deadlock will continue.

Meanwhile just next door, Turkey continues to encroach in Syria and Lebanon faces a political crisis that continues to spiral out of control, forcing the country into deep divisions where Hezbollah holds immense power both in parliament and the military.

    1. Pray for the glory of God to be poured out on Indonesia and Southeast Asia, and for the remnant here to align with Jerusalem.

    2. Pray for the acceleration of the total restoration of the Inheritance of Israel in the gates of Judea and Samaria, especially for the Gospel of Peace to reach the people of that area, both Arabs and Jews.

    3. Please pray that the political deadlock will be broken in Israel according to the will of the Father for Israel in this time when the enemies of Zion continue to circle in this time of uncertainty.

    4. Pray for the peace of Jerusalem: “May they prosper who love you [holy city].  “May peace be within your walls And prosperity within your palaces.”  For the sake of my brothers and my friends, I will now say, “May peace be within you.”  For the sake of the house of the Lord our God [which is Jerusalem],  I will seek your (the city’s) good.

God bless you and keep you mighty people of the Most High!
