Nissan 10: A Shabbat of the Ages<\/h3>\n\t<\/div>\r\n<\/div>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\n\t\t\t<\/div> \n\t\t<\/div>\n\t<\/div> \n<\/div><\/div>\n\t\t

Today on the 10th of Nissan<\/strong> (March 23rd)<\/em>, the first Shabbat HaGadol<\/em><\/strong> (Great Shabbat)<\/em> of the Biblical year was celebrated by the Israelites in Egypt 5 days before the Exodus when Moses told the Israelites, \u201cto take a lamb or young goat for themselves, according to [the size of] the household of which he is the father, a lamb or young goat for each household” (Exodus 12:3).<\/em><\/p>\n\t<\/div>\r\n<\/div>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\n\t

It was also the birthday of the prophetess Miriam<\/strong>, the sister of Aaron and Moses, who after the destruction of Pharaoh\u2019s army after the crossing of the Red Sea took a timbrel in her hand, all of the women following her and dancing, saying to them, \u201c Sing to Adonai for He has triumphed gloriously and is highly exalted. The horse and the rider He has hurled into the sea\u201d (Exodus 15:20-21).<\/em> It is a Shabbat of rejoicing and freedom<\/strong> prophesying the victory that is today, Yeshua being with us now until the end of the age.<\/p>\n\t<\/div>\r\n<\/div>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

It is not a day of coincidence, but rather a day of destiny as it was also the same day that Joshua and all of Israel crossed the Jordan River into the promised Land<\/strong><\/em> to the place called Gilgal (Joshua 4:19-20)<\/em>. If that were not enough, it was on Nissan 10 that Yeshua made His triumphal entry<\/strong> into Jerusalem from the Mount of Olives, entering on the first day of the week. As He entered it was to the joyous shouts of people saying \u201cHosanna to the son of David! Blessed is He who comes in the name of Adonai!\u201d (Matthew 21:9)<\/em>. Hosanna originated from the Hebrew word Yasha, meaning to be open, wide or free. and is often translated \u201csave now\u201d<\/em><\/strong> in Psalm 118:24-26. But that is not all! In Ezekiel 40:1-2, Ezekiel has a vision on the 10th of Nissan of the New Temple<\/strong> where He saw the glory of Hashem enter from the eastern gate! (Ezekiel 43:5)<\/em>.<\/p>\n\t<\/div>\r\n<\/div>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

The Shabbat of the age past reminds us to give thanks<\/strong> to Elohim who delivered Israel from Egypt, and brought them across the Jordan to take the Promised Land. In the present age, we give thanks to Yeshua, who willingly entered Jerusalem, knowing He would soon be betrayed, beaten and crucified, but also knowing the promise of the Father that He would indeed be raised on the third day.<\/em> We give thanks in this present age that although there may be pestilence in the Land we celebrate that Yeshua is in us and us in Him<\/strong> and that the Father has sent His Holy Spirit.<\/p>\n\t<\/div>\r\n<\/div>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\n\t
