A huge celebration happens on the first day of the Biblical month of Tishrei (Rosh Chodesh) that kicks off the beginning of what are called the High Holy Days, referred to by most Jews and Believers today as\u00a0Rosh Hashanah, meaning \u201chead of the year.<\/strong>\u201d It is celebrated as the first day of the New Year, but what does the Bible have to say about it? It turns out there is a Biblical feast on that day, but it is not Rosh Hashanah, and not the beginning of the Biblical New Year. Yom Teruah, meaning the Feast of Trumpets<\/strong>\u00a0is what Scripture speaks of, and it is an important holy day,\u00a0a day to blow the silver trumpets,<\/strong>\u00a0and to be treated as a Shabbat according to Adonai\u00a0(Leviticus 23:24).<\/em>\u00a0The first recorded mention of Rosh Hashana actually doesn\u2019t show up until around 200 A.D. in the Jewish Rabbinical texts of the Mishna and the Tosefta, but not in the Bible.<\/p>\n\t<\/div>\r\n<\/div>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

So should we as Believers even care? Most definitely yes. And should we celebrate Yom Teruah? Most definitely yes. But Why?!\u00a0We should care because it is important to understand the Biblical times and seasons,<\/strong>\u00a0but also not to believe that everything we are taught is inherently correct or even Biblical. We must do our due diligence and always go back to the Word. We should celebrate it not because we have to, but because every\u00a0Holy Day in Scripture is a prophetic act of something very significant<\/strong> that at this time has either already been fulfilled or will be. In the case of Yom Teruah, it is the celebration of the last trumpet blast, the rapture<\/strong>\u00a0of those both dead in Christ and alive in that moment, and no less than the return of Yeshua to rule and reign from Jerusalem\u00a0(1 Corinthians 15:51-52, 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17, Revelation 11:15-19).<\/em><\/p>\n\t<\/div>\r\n<\/div>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

If that day isn\u2019t worth celebrating, then what day is? It is far more special than being a supposed new year celebration. For us as believers it is a day to blow the trumpet and say come Yeshua come! We do not and will not know the day of hour of Yeshua\u2019s return,<\/strong> but Yom Teruah is the day that Adonai set aside for us to remember Yeshua is coming back soon, and to be sure we are fully set apart for Him, and His Kingdom come, and will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Let\u2019s hear the trumpet sound<\/strong>\u00a0and the voices of the remnant being lifted up giving all glory, honor and\u00a0praise to YHWH\u00a0<\/strong>Who Was, Who Is, and is to come at sundown on September 18th and bring in the new month with a roar.
