There is a battle raging in the heavens and the earth for the soul of every man woman and child in nations we have never heard of in lands and cultures foreign to us, but also as close as our family members and life long friends.\u00a0 There is a fight for the individual as well as the nations of the world and everything in between.\u00a0 It is time for us to be free of the walls of separation and competition.\u00a0 The same thing that led to the fall of satan and the third of the heavenly hosts is what has torn the Body of Christ apart, namely pride.\u00a0 As pride and competition enters into that which was made to be one body in one Spirit, we see only separation and little or no communication.\u00a0 Divide and conquer is the age old plan of the deceiver, but the time has come that we stand united as the first church was, all of one mind and one purpose.\u00a0 For this to work however, we must render our hearts humble before the Father like Christ, who though God, broke bread and washed the feet of His disciples.\u00a0 Even across borders where tensions are always high, and age old hatreds still boil, the Gospel of Peace is bridging the gap between traditional rivals, unified by the perfect love of Yeshua through the blood that He shed for us all.\u00a0 Even on one of the most contentious borders in the world between India and Pakistan, where soldiers and citizens alike are always on alert, people on either side of the border are coming to know the King of Kings.<\/p>\n\t<\/div>\r\n<\/div>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

While we were in Punjab, a northwestern province of India that borders Pakistan, the Holy Spirit led us to the border between these two nations, where every evening the Indian and Pakistani militaries have an elaborate flag lowering ceremony.\u00a0 This border crossing was until recently, the only means of transportation between the two countries, and is part of the Grand Turk highway, an ancient road that connects south and central Asia. This important gate between nations is a very strategic place militarily, economically, politically, culturally and spiritually.\u00a0 There are strategic places in the world that are flashpoints for conflict, and this is certainly one of them.\u00a0 It is a place where much blood has been shed, and where one nation split into two.\u00a0 Upon India\u2019s independence from Great Britain in 1947, the election for the first prime minister was split between a Muslim candidate and a Hindu candidate, which in turn started a civil war between the majority Muslim North and Majority Hindu south.\u00a0 When the dust settled, Pakistan became its own country, and a hard border was set.\u00a0 The ceremony is no small affair, with thousands of visitors per day coming to watch the extravagant show with the soldiers in arrayed in ornate uniforms, taunting the soldiers at the other side of the border, even at one point giving a brisk hand shake to one another from either side of the line.\u00a0 The crowd yells and taunts in unison, giving praise to their countrymen and taunting the other side of the border.<\/p>\n

When we arrived, we were whisked away into the grand stands that surrounded the marching lane on both sides leading up to the flag pole with the Indian flag.\u00a0 Just feet away from the Indian flag stood the Pakistan flag just across the border line behind which was more stadium seats for the Pakistani attendees.\u00a0 Thousands of people from each side of the border chanted national slogans at one another.\u00a0 We were there not to chant or shout, but because the Holy Spirit sent us to intercede for the nations.\u00a0 We immediately began to repent on behalf of the blood that had been shed here, cleaning and healing the land from the atrocities committed. \u00a0 We interceded during the entire ceremony which lasted roughly thirty minutes, praying for the leaders of the militaries of either side, that they align with God\u2019s perfect plan, and for the atmosphere of separation to be flooded with the love of Yeshua, forever changing the dynamic between the two nations from one of separation to reconciliation.\u00a0 We prayed that justice and righteousness be restored to the land which was once seen as one nation instead of two. \u00a0 As the flag lowering came to a close, and the soldiers from both nations had folded their respective flags,\u00a0 we declared together that the banner of the the Aleph (First) and the Tov (Last) was the flag that would soon fly at this historic border.\u00a0 We declared aloud over the border Isaiah 61:2-3, Psalm 24:7-10, and Revelation 7:9-10 before exiting from the stadium talking with the captains and generals as we left.<\/p>\n

It is vitally important that we know and remember that God has a perfect plan and purpose for our lives and the nations, and once we understand what that purpose is, we can take steps toward the completion of that original destiny. \u00a0 \u201cFrom one man He made all the nations, that they should inhabit the whole earth; and He marked out their appointed times in history and the boundaries of their lands.\u201d (Acts 17:26).\u00a0 What is the redemptive purpose of the God of Creation for your life?\u00a0 How about your nation?\u00a0 Ask the Spirit of the Lord and you will receive the answer.\u00a0 He has called us all as His sons and daughters, co-heirs of the Kingdom, and now it is time to live from that place, paving the way for the King of Glory.<\/p>\n\t<\/div>\r\n<\/div>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\n\t
