Parashah Vayikra \u201cAnd He Called\u201d<\/h3>\n\t<\/div>\r\n<\/div>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\n\t\t\t<\/div> \n\t\t<\/div>\n\t<\/div> \n<\/div><\/div>\n\t\t

As we enter the Biblical New Year, the very first Torah portion is Parashah Vayikra<\/strong> meaning \u201cand he called\u201d<\/em> which is the very first section of Leviticus. Leviticus 1:1-6:7<\/em> is a description of the different types of sacrifices required on the altar<\/em><\/strong> in the Old Testament and the purpose for each of them. Then as we read Isaiah 43:21-44:23<\/em>, we see both the shortcomings and redemption of Israel that can only be brought about by Adonai. Then, we come full circle in Hebrews 10:1-8, 13:10-15<\/em> where there is so much depth to unpack it is incredible, but is where we come to know and cherish that we no longer need to sacrifice animals for the covering of our sins, but that Yeshua has sacrificed Himself<\/strong>, spotless and without blemish (sinless) once for all.<\/p>\n\t<\/div>\r\n<\/div>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

This is the greatest gift in the Universe<\/strong>, yet so simple a child can grasp and understand it. It is the purest form of love, but yet so simple as the sacrifice of a Lamb. It is perfect love that YHWH would sacrifice His only begotten son<\/em><\/strong> so that whoever believes and trusts in Him as Savior shall not perish, but have everlasting life (John 3:16)<\/em>. Many of us have read it since we were children, but to know it in our hearts and have the Holy Spirit confirm it is bread and water that can last forever.<\/p>\n\t<\/div>\r\n<\/div>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

As Pesaj<\/strong> (Passover)<\/em> comes ever closer, the blood of the Lamb becomes ever more present in our thoughts, and the prophetic image of the blood of the lamb<\/em><\/strong> upon the doorposts of the Israelites in Egypt is now true for each of us individually all the days of our lives. How can the greatest sacrifice of all time be described with mere words when it is meant to be experienced? How can the greatest honor, privilege, and blessing to be servants, friends, sons and daughters, priests, kings and queens, and heirs with Yeshua at the right hand of the father be explained except but to live it out in our daily lives for His glory?<\/em> Yeshua\u2019s sacrifice sets the stage and foundation for the New Covenant we have in Him, so let us exemplify that New Covenant in its fullness wherever we go in whatever we do as we continue in this first biblical month on the road to Pesaj (Passover)<\/em>. Be greatly encouraged, blessed, and lifted up from glory to glory in perfect love<\/strong> as we together as the Body of Messiah continue paving the way for the return of the King of glory.
