\nThere is a kind of healing that does not begin in the body. It begins in what has been left exposed.<\/p>\n

Unprotected. Unfinished. Unrepaired.<\/p>\n

This is the tension of Iyar. In the Biblical calendar, the very name of the month, Iyar (spelled Aleph-Yod-Resh), is seen as an acronym for \u201cAni Yahweh Rapha\u2014\u201cI am the Lord your Healer.\u201d<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\t<\/div>\r\n<\/div>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Historically, this is the month between the deliverance of Passover and the revelation of Shavuot (Pentecost). It is not the miracle of the exit, nor the arrival at the mountain. It is the process in the wilderness where Yahweh reveals what is still broken, not to shame us, but to heal us. Healing is the bridge between our deliverance and our destiny.<\/strong><\/p>\n\t<\/div>\r\n<\/div>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n
