We have entered into this new week with the joy and celebration of Purim, and as we read and soak up the Word of Adonai renewing our minds daily and knowing Him more, we pray that you receive new wisdom, revelation and understanding of Adonai in you and you in Him.<\/strong> This week is jam packed with epic encounters with the Most High in Scripture that leads us from Moses (Exodus 30:11)<\/em> to Elijah (81 Kings 18)<\/em> and finally to the the revelation of the new glory attained through the Holy Spirit<\/strong> (2 Corinthians 3).<\/em><\/p>\n\t<\/div>\r\n<\/div>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Glory, fire, gold, judgement, mercy, and even greater glory are strewn throughout these epic showdowns with God and men. First, Moses goes up to Mount Sinai for 40 days and 40 nights and Adonai gives him the two stone tablets that He wrote on with His own Hand<\/em><\/strong>, then like the worst breakup in human history due to Israel turning their blessing of gold taken from Egypt into an idol the Almighty decides its time to destroy all of Israel. What Moses does next would shock much of the global body of Messiah today and instead of just saying it is the will of God and we have no business getting in His way, Moses actually reasoned with Adonai and reminded Him of the covenant with Abraham, Issac, and Jacob.<\/strong> There was definitely punishment meted out however, and a faithful remnant (the tribe of Levi) was used to carry it out, killing 3,000 people by the sword<\/em> who were worshipping the golden calf. Israel had gotten impatient with the timing of God, and decided they would worship something else. Would you have gone along with the false worship?<\/strong> Do you get impatient with Adonai\u2019s timeline?<\/p>\n\t<\/div>\r\n<\/div>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

After receiving the instruction from Elohim on Mount Sinai about how to create the tabernacle, the gold and silver was no longer put to use to worship false gods<\/em><\/strong>, but now it would be used to glorify Adonai through worship. What is your gold and silver being used for?<\/strong><\/p>\n\t<\/div>\r\n<\/div>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Finally, after another 40 days and nights on Sinai YHWH decides to renew His covenant with Israel and the tablets were restored, although with a price of great correction, and when he came down the second time after seeing the glory of Adonai, Moses\u2019 face shone brightly. This brings us to the showdown of all showdowns in Scripture. Elijah on Mount Carmel stands against the 450 prophets of Baal and the 400 prophets of Asherah,<\/strong> and we know how the story goes. Fire consumes the offering of Elijah<\/em><\/strong> upon the restored altar of the God of Israel, and all 950 prophets of Baal and Ashera are killed by the sword, Israel worshipped YHWH again, and the land was restored. Sound familiar to Moses on Mount Sinai? Does any of this sound familiar to the very situation happening in your nation?<\/em> Are the people getting impatient with Adonai\u2019s timing? Are people reasoning with Adonai and reminding Him of His promises like Moses or deciding judgement is imminent?<\/em><\/strong> What is the purpose of the warnings of the Great I Am throughout Scripture? Is it not that people would turn back to Him and His ways?<\/em><\/p>\n\t<\/div>\r\n<\/div>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Is there a difference between the glory that shone from Moses\u2019 face and the glory given to us through the death and resurrection of Yeshua and receiving the Holy Spirit? Amazingly, yes. While one fades, the other only grows. While the letter of the law leads to death because of sin, the Holy Spirit is life and brings \u201crighteousness [the new covenant which declares believers free of guilt and sets them apart for God\u2019s special purpose]!\u201d<\/em> Just as God made a new covenant with Israel after sinning and worshipping the golden calf, and Israel repenting on Mount Carmel, we are living in the times of yet another new covenant through Yeshua,<\/strong> and now that we have received the Holy Spirit instead of the glory fading, \u201cwe all, with unveiled face, continually seeing as in a mirror the glory of Adonai, are progressively being transformed into His image from [one degree of] glory to [even more] glory, which comes from Adonai, [who is] the Spirit.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

Let us go from glory to glory this week as we get closer and closer to being just like the One Whose image we have been created in.<\/em><\/strong> Adonai bless you and keep you!<\/p>\n\t<\/div>\r\n<\/div>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\n\t
