If you are not excited about this Biblical month, we pray this will change your mind. Nissan is chock full of prophetic meaning, and this month will bring about a culmination of the fulfillment of God’s promises in Israel, the nations and each of our lives if we choose to align to the heart of Abba Father. Nissan is a month of Grace, forgiveness and miracles. Have you been believing in the Lord for the impossible? Has Adonai put on your heart something that seems undoable in the natural, but you know 100% that He promised He will do it? Do not falter or sway, He has gotten you this far. Even the word Nissan means miracle! This is the month where the dawn is breaking on that promise or those promises, and the fulfillment of your miracle is at hand. After two Adars and two celebrations of Purim, rest assured the Hammans in your life have been defeated by divine decree, and now it is time to see the fruits of God’s grace and intervention. It was in this month that Nehemiah saw the fruits of God’s grace and intervention when he got permission and provision from King ArtaXerxes to return to Jerusalem and rebuild the walls (Nehemiah 2:1-8). It is a month of new beginnings, and officially the the beginning of the new year! It is at this time when we celebrate Pesach (Passover) (Exodus 12:13). During this celebration of the freeing of the Israelites from Egypt, we also see the perfect timing of God in play when over 1, 400 years later Yeshua was betrayed and crucified that same day. How is it possible that Yeshua was betrayed during the night and crucified during the next day, yet we are saying He was betrayed and crucified the same day? We must remember that one day in the Biblical calendar starts when the sun goes down and ends the next evening when the sun goes down. How perfect are the plans of Hashem! If Abba can plan over 1,400 years in advance down to the second, He can and will deliver on His promises during this month of Nissan. Will you come into agreement with Elohim’s plan for you this month? Will you believe that the Eternal will do it? He certainly wants to, but will you let Him?

Nissan starts at sundown on April 5th and ends at sundown on May 5th. This year Pesach will start the evening of April 19th and continue with the Feast of Unleavened bread until the night of April 27th. The forty days of the counting of the Omer will start on the night of April 20th, the first day of the Feast of Unleavened bread, and end the evening of June 8th, marking the day of Pentecost.

TRIBE: JUDAH

It is time to start the Biblical year off with a roar. Judah literally means to give thanks and to praise and worship. “Let my people go to worship Me!” (Exodus 9:1). Let us give thanks and worship Yaweh for all He has done this past year, and what he is about to do in this new year. The tribe of Judah is one of the most decorated of all the tribes in the history of the Bible. Caleb, King David, King Solomon, and Yeshua were all from the tribe of Judah. All of these men have something in common; they believed and acted on the promises of God, meaning their faith was great. When Jacob prophesied over Judah his son, he said, “Judah, your brothers will praise you; your hand will be on the neck of your enemies; your father’s sons will bow down to you. You are a lion’s cub, O Judah; you return from the prey, my son. Like a lion he crouches and lies down, like a lioness – who dares to rouse him? The scepter will not depart from Judah, nor the ruler’s staff from between his feet, until he comes to whom it belongs and the obedience of the nations is his” (Genesis 49:8-12). Will you have the faith like the men of the tribe of Judah, a faith so unflinching that they exuded the authority of the Father? God is in us and with us, and when we exercise our faith, the authority of the Most High wells up from within us. Every force, obstacle and enemy against us will come to nothing as we come into complete surrender and alignment to Abba’s plan for us. Will you trust God like Caleb, who along with Joshua courageously stood up in front of all of Israel ready to take the promised land when no one else would? Will you cross the Jordan this month and trust the King of glory with all you have? Will you be the worshiper that gives thanks to the Lord in this month of the tribe of Judah?

ANIMALS: LAMB AND LION

These two animals are nearly perfect opposites, the lamb being docile, defenseless and innocent, while the Lion is fierce, a born predator, and absolutely authoritative. Yet in this month of Nissan we see the best attributes of both being played out in our remembrance and celebration of Pesach and the Crucifiction of Christ. On the night of Pesach the lion came and devoured the enemies of His people, and as the Lamb that was slain made it so that death would pass over them. In the book of Revelation Yeshua is described as both the Lion of the tribe of Judah (Revelation 5:5), as well as the Lamb that was slain (Revelation 5:6). Even though Yeshua had all of the authority of God, He still went to the cross without complaint. The Lion, for our sake let himself be brought to the slaughter as the Lamb. The word Passover tends to have a negative connotation outside of the Bible of being forgotten, left out, or not selected, but in the context of the Bible it means something different altogether. In the case of Pesach (Passover) it is called as such because “God passed over the houses of the Israelites in Egypt and spared their homes when He struck down the Egyptians'” (Exodus 12:27), which is quite the opposite as being forgotten. Another instance of being passed over or passed by comes shortly after leaving Egypt when the Lord passes by Moses putting him in the cleft of a rock and allowing him to see His back as He passed by (Exodus 33:17-23). Had Moses not asked this of the Lord, it would not have happened, but Moses was eager, even after all of the miracles he had seen, for more of God. Are you still desperate for more of God? Are you asking Him the impossible or just enough to get by? Will you let this month pass by you acting like you have been forgotten by God, or will you welcome Him in all of His glory knowing He loves you so much He sent His son to die for you?

CONSTELLATION: THE RAM (AVAL)

When a ram is mentioned in Bible, it is almost always in reference to the ram being sacrificed as an offering to the Lord. In one of the most iconic scenes in Scripture when Abraham is about to offer his son Issac on the altar, The Lord provided a ram to take Issac’s place. This moment of extreme faith and trust in God is the type of faith we as the Remnant are being called to. Absolute obedience to the voice of the Lord. We see the prophetic significance of this act many centuries later when Yeshua, the son of God takes upon our sin on the cross. The ram signifies sacrifice, forgiveness, and God stepping in to take upon himself what should have been our rightful fate, death. We see in this month the constant reminder of God’s love for us and His willingness to do whatever it takes for his children, even though we haven’t earned it or deserve it. That is the love of the Father. So, how are you honoring His love? Are you fulfilling the purpose He created you for? Are you all in, or is there something stopping you from giving everything to Jesus Christ? He has already given everything for us. This month of Nissan is the time to put all of our weight on The Lord mighty in battles, and stop leaning on other things to prop us up. He has already made the sacrifice, and now it is time to let the Lion of Judah fight our battles. Will you put your faith in The King of Glory to show up, or rely on someone besides the author of salvation, the Lord of Hosts and the creator of the Universe to make the miracles come to pass in this month of Miracles?

LETTER: HEI

The letter “Hei” is the unification of giving and receiving. Everyone loves to receive a gift, but how about giving one? Does it seem like a chore to give a gift, or do you feel joy when giving? “Let each one give [thoughtfully and with purpose] just as he has decided in his heart, not grudgingly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver [and delights in the one whose heart is in his gift]” (2 Corinthians 9:7). We are expecting great miracles this month, but we must not forget to give from our hearts, as well as be willing to receive. It can be expensive or inexpensive, but from the heart is what matters, and when we have a heart to bless others, it shouldn’t surprise us when God blesses us in return. Give, and it will be given to you. Good measure, pressed down, shaken together, running over, will be put into your lap. For with the measure you use it will be measured back to you” (Luke 6:38). “One gives freely, yet grows all the richer; another withholds what he should give, and only suffers want. Whoever brings blessing will be enriched, and one who waters will himself be watered” (Proverbs 11:24-25). As we give, it is vital that we remember not to do it for show or for the purpose of others to see, as God knows our hearts. Bless and be blessed this Nissan.

NUMBER: 5

Five in the Bible represents grace. The proper definition of grace in the biblical context is, “The free and unmerited favor of God, as manifested in the salvation of sinners and the bestowal of blessings.” “For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God” (Ephesians 2:8). It is plainly clear that Elohim abounds in grace, but why? Aren’t you curious? Why does He love us so much? We must never forget that we were created in His image and likeness (Genesis 1:26-27), and He knows us more intimately than we may ever know. He sees the vast potential for greatness within each of us because He put it there and wants to see us blossom. He is not just God with us, but also God in us, and wants to have a relationship with us, to talk with us and spend time with us. Sometimes we might wonder if we are important to Emmanuel, or think maybe He has forgotten us. Obviously not! Look what He has done for us, and how all of the evidence points to the contrary. Remember this that you are loved with a perfect love, are fearfully and wonderfully made child of God. Walk in the grace and love of the Father this Nissan, after all it is by grace that we have been saved.

MESSAGE

In this month of miracles be prepared to receive yours. Yaweh is ready, able and willing to make the impossible look easy, but don’t forget the importance to also be a joyful giver as well as a receiver. Give from your heart. Walk boldly and with authority knowing the lion of the tribe of Judah lives in you. Take dominion over what God has declared is yours by divine right, and have faith like Caleb that God will do what He has promised. Just as the Almighty fought the battle for the Israelites through signs, wonders and miracles so many centuries and centuries ago, He is the same yesterday today and forever, and fighting your battles even as you read this. This new year is the beginning of a new cycle, a fresh start, and the time to align with the heart of God and His plans for this new season. Just as nature ushers in the springtime and everything comes roaring back to life, this is your time to come into agreement with God’s creation and start this new year with a fresh sense of purpose and great expectation for Abba’s promises to be fulfilled in your life. Hold on tight, because this new year is going to bring another level of acceleration in the fulfillment of your calling and purpose in these end times.
