AV 5787: HEAR THE FATHER AND ARISE<\/h2>\n\t<\/div>\r\n<\/div>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n
\r\n\t
\r\n\t\t

We have entered the biblical month of Av, the fifth month of the biblical calendar. In Scripture, \ud3c9\uade0<\/strong> is primarily called \u201cthe fifth month,\u201d<\/em> and its name is closely associated with the Hebrew word av, meaning father. This is, therefore, a month to draw near to the heart of Abba, to silence the competing voices around us, and to hear clearly what the Father is saying.<\/p>\n

\ud3c9\uade0<\/strong> is traditionally remembered as one of the most difficult months in biblical history. The first nine days lead toward Tisha B\u2019Av<\/em>, the ninth day of Av, which has just passed here in Israel, when Israel mourns the destruction of both the First and Second Temples in Jerusalem. It also recalls the report of the spies and the unbelief of the generation that refused to enter the Promised Land.<\/p>\n\t<\/div>\r\n<\/div>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

\r\n\t
\r\n\t\t

Yet \ud3c9\uade0<\/strong> cannot be understood only as a month of mourning. It is also a month of repentance, comfort, rebuilding, restored identity, and courageous faith. The Father does not expose what is broken to condemn us\u2014He exposes it so that it can be healed, purified, and restored.<\/p>\n

Zechariah prophesied that the fast of the fifth month would one day become a season of joy, gladness, and cheerful feasts for the house of Judah, but he concluded with a clear instruction: \u201cTherefore love truth and peace\u201d<\/em> (Zechariah 8:19).<\/p>\n

This is the invitation of Av: remember the past without being imprisoned by it, learn from what was destroyed, and allow the Father to build something new within us.<\/strong><\/p>\n\t<\/div>\r\n<\/div>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

\r\n\t\t

FROM MOURNING TO RESTORATION<\/h3>\n\t<\/div>\r\n<\/div>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n
\r\n\t
\r\n\t\t

The Three Weeks of Sorrow<\/strong> begin on the seventeenth of Tammuz and culminate on the ninth of Av. This period remembers the breaching of Jerusalem\u2019s walls and the destruction of the Temples.<\/p>\n

These events are not only historical\u2014they are a warning. What was built was destroyed only after obedience, justice, humility, and covenant faithfulness had already been weakened.<\/p>\n

The prophets warned Jerusalem repeatedly, yet the people continued as though nothing would happen:<\/p>\n

\u201cAgain and again the LORD, the God of their ancestors, sent word to them through His messengers\u2026 But they mocked God\u2019s messengers, despised His words, and scoffed at His prophets until the wrath of the LORD was aroused against His people and there was no remedy.\u201d<\/em>
\n(2 Chronicles 36:15\u201316)<\/p>\n\t<\/div>\r\n<\/div>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

\r\n\t\t

The tragedy was not silence from Heaven\u2014the tragedy was the refusal to listen.<\/p>\n

\ud3c9\uade0<\/strong> calls us to examine our own temples. As believers in Yeshua, we are temples of the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 6:19). The question is not only what happened to the Temple in Jerusalem, but what is happening within the temple of our hearts.<\/p>\n

We must ask honestly:<\/strong>
\n\u2022 What has been given space that belongs to the Holy Spirit?
\n\u2022 Have pride, fear, offense, compromise, or distraction taken residence within us?
\n\u2022 Have we become so accustomed to the noise of the world that we no longer recognize the voice of the Father?<\/p>\n\t<\/div>\r\n<\/div>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

\r\n\t
\r\n\t\t

Yeshua still enters His temple.<\/em> <\/strong>He still overturns what does not belong. He still cleanses what is His. His correction is not rejection\u2014it is love refusing to leave us unchanged.<\/p>\n

This month, we must invite Him in without resistance:
\n\u2022 Remove every hidden idol
\n\u2022 Tear down every false agreement
\n\u2022 Silence every competing voice
\n\u2022 Restore the altar of worship within us<\/p>\n\t<\/div>\r\n<\/div>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

\r\n\t\t

THE FIRST DAY OF AV: AARON\u2019S TRANSITION<\/h3>\n\t<\/div>\r\n<\/div>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n
\r\n
\r\n
\r\n
\r\n \"\"\r\n <\/div>\r\n <\/div>\r\n <\/div>\r\n <\/div>\r\n
\r\n\t
\r\n\t\t

Scripture records that Aaron, the high priest, died on Mount Hor on the first day of the fifth month:<\/p>\n

\u201cThen Aaron the priest went up to Mount Hor at the command of the LORD and died there\u2026 on the first day of the fifth month.\u201d<\/em>
\n(Numbers 33:38)<\/p>\n

Aaron\u2019s death marked an ending\u2014but not the end of God\u2019s purpose. His garments were transferred to Eleazar, showing that Heaven continues even when seasons change.<\/p>\n

Av teaches us this clearly: what ends in one season does not end God\u2019s assignment.<\/p>\n

We must learn to release what cannot be carried into the next season:<\/strong>
\n\u2022 Old garments
\n\u2022 Former assignments
\n\u2022 Familiar structures
\n\u2022 Outgrown ways of operating<\/p>\n\t<\/div>\r\n<\/div>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

\r\n\t
\r\n\t\t

At the same time, we must honor what was without clinging to it and step boldly into what is coming.<\/p>\n

This is also a call to intercession for leadership.<\/p>\n

We must cover those entrusted with spiritual responsibility. This is not a time for division, accusation, or competition, but for humility, unity, and maturity.<\/p>\n

We must refuse offense. We must reject bitterness. We must guard the unity of the Body.<\/p>\n

The Father is forming a priesthood that serves from:
\n\u2022 intimacy<\/strong>, not ambition
\n\u2022 \ubcf5\uc885<\/strong>, not recognition
\n\u2022 \uc0ac\ub791<\/strong>, not a personal agenda<\/p>\n\t<\/div>\r\n<\/div>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

THE TRIBE OF AV: SIMEON\u2014HEAR AND OBEY<\/h3>\n\t<\/div>\r\n<\/div>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n
\r\n\t
\r\n\t\t

The tribe associated with Av is Simeon, whose name is rooted in hearing.
\n\u201cBecause the LORD heard that I am not loved\u2026\u201d<\/em>
\n(Genesis 29:33)<\/p>\n

Av is a month of hearing\u2014but not passive hearing. Biblical hearing demands a response.
\nTo hear the Father is to obey the Father.<\/p>\n

We must be honest:<\/strong>
\n\u2022 Hearing without obedience is deception
\n\u2022 Conviction without change is delay
\n\u2022 Delay can become disobedience<\/p>\n

Jerusalem heard but did not respond. Nineveh heard and repented:
\n\u201cThe Ninevites believed God\u2026 and put on sackcloth.\u201d<\/em>
\n(Jonah 3:5)<\/p>\n\t<\/div>\r\n<\/div>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

\r\n\t
\r\n\t\t

The difference was not God\u2019s voice\u2014the difference was their response.<\/p>\n

This month, we must decide quickly:
\n\u2022 When God speaks, we obey<\/strong>
\n\u2022 When conviction comes, we respond<\/strong>
\n\u2022 When correction comes, we yield<\/p>\n

We must also guard our emotions. Simeon\u2019s history warns us that unresolved anger can distort destiny. Pain that is not surrendered can become destructive.<\/p>\n

We must ask:
\n\u2022 Am I responding from peace or from pain?
\n\u2022 Am I reacting from wounds or from the Spirit?<\/p>\n

\u201cHuman anger does not produce the righteousness that God desires.\u201d<\/em>
\n(James 1:20)<\/p>\n

Action for this month:
\n\u2022 Pause before reacting
\n\u2022 Pray before responding
\n\u2022 Yield before deciding<\/p>\n\t<\/div>\r\n<\/div>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

FROM THE REPORT OF FEAR TO THE LANGUAGE OF FAITH<\/h3>\n\t<\/div>\r\n<\/div>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

The ninth of \ud3c9\uade0<\/strong> is tied to the report of the spies. All saw the same land\u2014but only two saw through faith.<\/p>\n

The problem was not the giants. The problem was interpretation.
\n\u201cWe seemed like grasshoppers in our own eyes\u2026\u201d<\/em>
\n(Numbers 13:33)<\/p>\n

Before defeat happened in reality, it had already been accepted in their identity.<\/p>\n

Av confronts this directly:
\nYou are not a grasshopper. You are not your fear. You are not your limitation.<\/p>\n

You are:<\/strong>
\n\u2022 a child of God<\/strong>
\n\u2022 redeemed by Yeshua<\/strong>
\n\u2022 filled with the Holy Spirit<\/strong><\/p>\n\t<\/div>\r\n<\/div>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Joshua and Caleb did not deny the giants\u2014they declared that God was greater.<\/p>\n

\u201cIf the LORD delights in us, He will bring us into this land\u2026\u201d<\/em>
\n(Numbers 14:8\u20139)<\/p>\n

Action for this month:
\n\u2022 Reject fear-based interpretation
\n\u2022 Refuse negative agreement
\n\u2022 Speak only what aligns with God\u2019s promise<\/p>\n\t<\/div>\r\n<\/div>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

\r\n\t\t

FROM A DESTROYED TEMPLE TO LIVING STONES<\/h3>\n\t<\/div>\r\n<\/div>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n
\r\n\t
\r\n\t\t

Yeshua declared:
\n\u201c\uc774 \uc131\uc804\uc744 \ud5d0\ub77c \ub0b4\uac00 \uc0ac\ud758 \ub9cc\uc5d0 \ub2e4\uc2dc \uc77c\uc73c\ud0a4\ub9ac\ub77c\u201d<\/em>
\nHe was speaking of His body (John 2:18\u201321).<\/p>\n

What looked like destruction became resurrection.
\nWe are not abandoned ruins\u2014we are living stones:
\n\u201cYou also, like living stones, are being built into a spiritual house\u2026\u201d<\/em>
\n(1 Peter 2:5)<\/p>\n

This means:
\n\u2022 We are being built together
\n\u2022 We are not meant to stand alone
\n\u2022 We must allow God to shape us to fit one another<\/p>\n\t<\/div>\r\n<\/div>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

\nGod comforts us so that we can rise again and strengthen others:

\n\u2022 Receive God\u2019s comfort personally
\n\u2022 Refuse to stay in grief

Cleanse our hearts. Remove pride, fear, offense, and every hidden compromise. Make us quick to repent and quick to obey.<\/p>\n

We reject the report of fear. We choose Your promise. We choose Your truth. We choose Your voice above all others.<\/p>\n

Heal what is broken within us. Restore what has been damaged. Strengthen what is weak.<\/p>\n\t<\/div>\r\n<\/div>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n
