This week we continue praying for the salvation of Israel, and we are very exited about the city we will be praying for and focusing on as we end the Purim celebrations. Eilat, the southern most city in Israel is the gateway into the nation from both Africa by land and all of East Asia by sea. Historically, and Biblically Eilat was the place of both the building and launching of the ships of Tarshish (1 Kings 9:26) that brought gold, and silver, ivory, and apes, and peacocks from Ophir (2 Chronicles 9:21). With a population of 60,000 Eilat is a hub of tourism from around Israel and the world with its beautiful beaches and year round sunshine. As we look to Isaiah 60 at the glorified Zion and the coming salvation of the Promised Land, all of the riches of Africa and the East will flow through Eilat just as it once did. It will be a gateway of the Gospel of Peace from the ends of the earth back to Jerusalem.
“Then you will see and be radiant, And your heart will tremble [with joy] and rejoice because the abundant wealth of the seas will be brought to you, the wealth of the nations will come to you.
“A multitude of camels [from the eastern trading tribes] will cover you [Jerusalem], The young camels of Midian and Ephah;
All those from Sheba [who once came to trade] will come bringing gold and frankincense and proclaiming the praises of Adonai.” (Isaiah 60:5-6)
Let us join together as one body of Messiah welcoming Yeshua to enter Eilat declaring Psalm 24 over the city so that the King of glory may come in! Who is He this King of glory? The Lord Mighty in battles, Yeshua Ha’Mashiach!
